  1. There is no such thing as no such thing, therefore, there is such thing as a tie.
  2. Wow. what else can go wrong. Upton golfs a pitch way inside and low and hits the pole, Kepler misplays/is fooled and misses the catch, Sano bounces the throw and Mauer fails do make the dig...... Wow. And the tie goes to the runner, except when it is figured out correctly in the replay and the ump already guessed out. Dozier.... seemed to be dreaming. Wake up! Dodged a bullet there. Could use some runs.
  3. Gibson gets through 7. I must be dreaming. Thanks for the help, Mahtook .
  4. It always bothers me. Always has. It will be nice when the game is not affected by guessing umpires. It really does change every game drastically. Fans are just numb because it was always accepted that it was OK for umpires to get it wrong. Zimmerman got screwed all game, and Gibson was getting a bunch of miscalls. I guess that means that Zimmerman was horrible because the umpire was..... hmmmm.
  5. Sano takes the one hanging slider meatball down the middle that was a strike.... all the other pitches were balls, but he swings at 2 of the 5 outside pitches and strikes out. Plate discipline is slipping as the season goes on.....
  6. totally squeezing the tiger pitchers. not just zimmerman....
  7. Avila smart. Setting up behind the plate/line. Keeping the play in front of him. I wish our catchers would do that.
  8. Gibson getting calls? Pitch 3 to Castellanos was 4-6 inches outside, called a strike.
  9. Just another example of why you run the grounder out full speed. Sano would have been on base if he did. They all do it though. Routine grounder, lope down the first. What else have they got to do? Never ceases to amaze me. Run the damn thing out like you can beat the throw!
  10. Duffey.... throwin' meat. First pitch, predictable meat.
  11. Whatever. Not what the record of the at bat on Gameday shows. Great pitch. Even better than the 3rd pitch. Trust what you like. Seems to be in vogue these days. I go with science.
  12. Adrianza? Not according to the machine. Great pitches. All three balls fully in the zone.
  13. I am soooooo tired of watching Grossman not swing the bat. He just begs for a walk, and watches the third strike, that, even if it was a ball, is very hitable. This time...... the first (a good take, tough pitch to hit), but the second, AND THIRD strike..... meat.
  14. Colon for Garcia? That's trading a lot of potential. Just ask Falvey and Levine.
  15. Ha! You beat the broadcasters! Give that man a job!
  16. Grossman would rather walk than get a hit. Here it was again. 0-2 and a pitch to hit, but would rather go for the walk. Too close to let go by.
  17. Duffey and Taylor provide relief! Excellent.
  18. I can understand giving a real teammate another start after they tell me they are considering retiring, and quitting, but not a rental side show. 20 year vet in this league and he still needs to speak through a translator. He has been as lazy with language and he has been in taking care of his body.
  19. Mauer. He has that perfect swing, and makes adjustments, right?
  20. Molitor just has to put Grossman in the field. Gross. I can understand, I guess. That let's Molitor DH a .218 hitter (Polanco). Seems reasonable, eh? Recipe for winning.
  21. Pretty bummed about that. You wait all year to go to these games and Falvey and Levine gives us Colon. He is talking about retiring if he doesn't do well on his second start. A two game rental. What a joke. Probably get one oh Hill or Wood. Hard to tell with so many pitchers they work in and status of injuries. The Dodgers won their 10th straight last night 1-0. Even when they don't hit, they win.
  22. Looks like the Twins will miss Kershaw (in rotation to pitch Sunday), and one of Wood or Hill. Hard to say yet with the all the Dodger pitchers available exactly who will go on what day, but Kershaw will not be pitching against the Twins.
