I believe because the error lets the run score. Batter gets a hit, and the run scores on the error as the runner advances from third.

A sad state of affairs when the gallery is calling for Gee.............
  3. h2oface
Yup. Same recent Duffey. No relief relief.
  4. h2oface
Which pitcher is charged with this batter?

I hate it when I go back to see a play over and then forget to forward again, and think I am watching the game live...........

Gladden keeps talking about Mejia making good pitches. Making good pitches for the Brewers to hit, maybe...... 7 hits in 3 offical innings.... and an intentional walk after going 3-0.
  7. h2oface
I HATE THE NEW INTENTIONAL WALK RULE!!!!!

Rosario hit the cut off man! I don't believe it. Maybe he is sick.
  9. h2oface
Mejia not fooling anyone. The Brewers are loving to tee off on him....
  10. h2oface
Too busy eating a 2 lb stash of sunflower seeds to concentrate on the balls path......

I wish our guys could bunt like that. Hell, I wish they could just bunt in fair and not in the air!

I get the sentiment.... but...... if Dozier really does go a tear right now, with the team only 2.5 games back of the 2nd Wild Card birth........ this is exactly the time for Dozier to go on a "statistical binge".

Falvey and Levine have to start making moves that revamps the pitching staff, and put a stamp on the future. This year was wasted. Time to step up to the plate. And for the pen.... Duffey, Hildenberger, Rodgers, Boshers, and especially Pressly and Tonkin..... are all replaceable, and Belisle is fools gold right now...... Fans have become numb and are accepting mediocre or worse as acceptable. The Dodgers entire active staff .... has a lower ERA than the highest pitcher... newly acquired Darvish's 3.81! I am not inferring that the Twins could have the ability or money to assemble a staff like this....... but come on! Time to clean house and win!

4 hits after 2 outs....... we think differently and have different standards. i will change imploding to 'being responsible'... at least for the last two runs, and it was also him that allowed the first one on base with two outs, but I won't assign responsibility to him for that.....

"Drew Rucinski entered and because of an error, he was charged with three unearned runs on four hits in the eighth inning. He struck out two." Interesting spin on this. Because of an error? I see it as because he gave up 2 singles with 2 out before the errant throw, and two singles after it. A pitcher has the responsibility to pitch well, even with an error behind him. The error let in one run. The next single let in the other two. Sure they were officially unearned. But this was all about a pitcher imploding with 2 outs. That is the real, complete spin.

Looks like the Dodgers will go yet another day without losing.......
  17. h2oface
    Our leader....
  18. h2oface
    And he tries to bunt?!?!?
  19. h2oface
    Here is Dozier's chance again!
  20. h2oface
Progress, I agree. For super duper, in my book, the at bat doesn't end with the 3rd walk to load the bases, but a double in the gap, or at least a hit that drives in runs. We walk the bases loaded, and score nothing. Other teams get one walk, and our pitchers somehow let them score........... we waste walks and get nothing way too often.

One high profile and beat into the ground grab, does not make him the GOAT. Frequency...... Nolasco was the annoying master.
  22. h2oface
I have no idea what GOAT is here.....
  23. h2oface
    Our leader.............
  24. h2oface
Dozier is adjusting his junk about as much as Nolasco did, now.
  25. h2oface
    Polanco!!!! Shock and awe...........
