    ..... and now you get the axe. Just when you have a fine outing.... I really don't get it. If Gibson is so horrible, at least wait until the next egg is laid, which if he is so horrible, will happen soon. If it doesn't, then we win. I want better pitching, but Colon is not that. Give him a shot in the pen if he will take it. Garcia added to the staff, fine. Demote players after a performance that earns the demotion, not right after they shine.

    Hoping Sano becomes MVP level, and him actually doing it....... are two drastically different things.

    Another head scratcher. I can't stand Colon. What a waste. Watching him stand at the plate and watch all those pitches go by without even moving. A total joke. Hell, just bunt it and maybe they make an error if you don't want to swing. It looked worse in the stands than it did on TV.

    I remember the pundits here and elsewhere, in their prospect lists.... dissing Garver in favor of Turner the whole way up the ladder. I always contended they were wrong. I still do. You don't get judged the collegiate Johnny Bench award runner up (to Turner) if you can't catch in college, too.

    Turner is finally back on the Reds active roster after suspect long DL for mysterious hammey...... has been in 20 games with 43 PAs. The Reds are carrying 3 catchers again. I guess they really want him and his .179 average and .489 OPS. I remember when catchers were expected to hit, and did...... and it wasn't that long ago. Now... shortstops don't need to hit, catchers don't need to hit, center fielders don't need to hit.... it really is ridiculous.

    Since the break, the pattern is Lose/Win/Lose/Win/Lose/Win/Lose/Win/Lose..... no streaks, no two loses in a row...... sooooooo....... we take Monday and Wednesday at Dodger Staduim! Too bad for Berrios. And that means Colon wins a game? Ha. I would bet on the win coming Tuesday. Patterns don't last forever.

    Hey if the bullpen comes in and does their job and provides, relief, they are never gassed. When they suck, they throw too many pitches, and are always gassed. When your starters are not that great at best, the bullpen can still get you into the World Series. Smart GMs have been paying attention and collecting 7-8-9th inning forces. KC changed the game. Surely the new FO team is paying attention, right?

    That's a start. Dozier loves to hit solo home runs. Hey... they always count.

    Kershaw pulled after 2 scoreless innings as back stiffened...... damn. I hope he is OK. I hate to see the best in the game get hurt, and have to sit out.

    Rally in the bottom of the ninth! If you are going to set the record for your longest 9 inning came, may as well win it.

    Hell.... why not go with 9.... or 10? Who needs a bench when you have guys like Breslow! You only need Gimenez on the bench! He can even pitch!

    But then.... look at this pen! Maybe they get another mediocre arm and go with only 2 bench..... Kintzler.... our stud.

    Way too many pitches. Guess we won't see him at Dodger Stadium on Monday. Good job Kintzler. Smart, Molitor......

    Grossman is sooooo slow.... and got thrown out at the plate yesterday trying to score from second. Not even close. At least this time it doesn't hurt us. He just loves to walk.

    McCann, Iglesias (both way outside), and Kinsler (plenty low) all get hits on balls nowhere close to strikes! Why can't our guys get hits off pitches outside the zone. They sure swing at enough of them.... Sano just got 4 right down the middle!

    Two sleeps to game one at Dodger Stadium. Looks like Maeda/Colon (bummer), McCarthy/Berrios (yeah), and Wood/Santana (both this year's all-stars that got bombed last outing)....... at least the Braves have cooled the Dodgers off a bit. Who's going?

    Good thing that wasn't Granite making the throw to second. By the time it bounced in, Iglesias could have been on third..... . (Now I am exaggerating.... just a little bit, though)
