    Cruz, so far this year, only has 2 days/games of just one hit. He either gets multiple hits in a game (8 games).... or no hits at all (11 games) the other days. Gonzalez and Adrianza. Both in the same game. Damn. I guess that means or bench looks better.

    Happy to go 3-4? Let's prepare to be happy with a losing record..... at home? Not me. Not ready to prepare to be a loser. 4-3 or bust.

    I think I heard Gibson mutter "Bite Me, you Nibbler Nits" as he finished up yesterday. Could have just been my feed, but pretty sure...... Baltimore's offense is performing better than Toronto's, and Toronto swept this team. Nibble on that.

    .... and he and his agent wanted a ton more than that! Until Sano comes back, especially carrying 13 pitchers and Astudillo being on the IL, the only other option on the 25 man is Adrianza, and that is not going well, either. I just wish they didn't have to use him so much for/during the slow starts......

    I would hope they signed him with hopes of his 2017 year finding a home here, as well, and at least a reprise for 1 of the 2 years. If not, they way overpaid, and that is not like them. .670-.730 is really not all that exciting for 10 mil a year.

    Let's hope so..... I was an advocate of the signing, and was hoping for it as soon as Escobar upped with Arizona. I always feel bad for the guy that goes to a new team and sucks right out of the gate.But after a month (maybe a month and a half), I definitely lose patience and lose the sympathy and go for the throat. I still think he will be fine, and he is historically a slow starter. Maybe he just shouldn't take a break in the off season.

    Great inning by May. Rodgers solid. Mejia, finally what we want from him. Now can he do it under pressure? Great performance by the pen. Gonzalez gets a hit/homer. Kepler redeems after early defensive gaffs. The game that was flat sure did blast off.

    Berrios pitcher of record.... for the WIN now! I guess it is ace like to not have your ace stuff, but you only give up 2 runs, deliver a quality start, and even persevere poor defense. I sure wish we had 5 of him.

    I can't understand why these guys don't just bunt away from the shift. You don't even have to be a great bunter. There is nobody even close. You don't even need finesse. Or speed. Automatic single and advancing the runner. Not even a sac bunt.
