    The Twins are so slow on the bases (other than Buxton, and who needs Lewis, I guess). You have to be able to tag and score there. Plus, a more clever slide would have maybe snuck in.... can't lead with the arm closest to the catcher.

    "Defender Denial" is, perhaps, an interesting subject all its own. If baseball fans and writers call Shohei Ohtani "today's Babe Ruth", it is a compliment coming from a third party, and certainly would not be mocked. And Ohtani would feel honored. In fact, this is now fact, as this has happened many times. If Shohei Ohtani made a practice of calling himself "today's Babe Ruth", then he would probably be the brunt of quite a bit of mocking and trash talk on the field. Would a player/players/fans get suspended/removed for calling him "Babe", being snotty brats, goading him, teasing him, trash talking him, getting in his head for his own arrogance,,,,,, even if Ohtani said he didn't like it? I think Anderson is the only one calling himself "today's Jackie Robinson".

    Watching the pitching for the last month in AAA, it is amazing the Twins can get any help there. The overall pitching, with a few exceptions, has been horrible at our highest minor league level. Strotman perhaps needs demoted even. So far, Austin Martin seems highly overrated.

    I just want to thank Theo and all that write the updates, and encourage them to continue in their own style, let them know they are appreciated, and I, for one, don't see any numbers or other info they chose to report as "garbage".

    Add Drew Strotman to the list here. Absolutely horrible.

    Totally agree. I think LaRussa, the guy that was convicted of DUI and selfishly endangered everyone on the roads he shared and created a 2 ton 30-70 mph weapon, is the fire stoker here, and he really doesn't have a base to throw flames from. "77-year-old Tony La Russa was the first to allege Donaldson made a racist remark directed at Anderson, which caused the confrontation, but wouldn’t elaborate further. And not to give La Russa the “seal of approval” here, but a guy who’s been in MLB since 1963 should probably be trusted when he says something of that magnitude." I guess the author thinks that his complete history is not needed.

    Not everyone sees Baldelli as their well documented fantasy boy. Did I spell anything wrong?

    What he said was still true about the managing decisions. The team won the game inspite of the horrible decision.

    Gonna enjoy this one. You don't see a late comeback from 6 down from the Twins very often. Like a 100 year flood.
