  1. Cross your fingers and hope he stays healthy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I think what should happen is that Hicks gets sent to the minors to get more experience, make him earn a call up with an extended period of good play both defensively and with the bat. Play Santana in center 3 days a week and at short 3 days a week. Schafer plays the other 3 days in center and Escubar plays the other 3 days at short, with another day on the field as a replacement at third or second. Santana gets better in center, gets experience at short, Escubar plays enough at short that he could be trade bait if someone needs a shortstop badly, Dozier and Ploufe get more time off during the season so that they don’t wear down by September. Win, win, win, all the way around. Use 2015 to see who is the best at shortstop, Santana or Escubar, and also to give players experience at multple positions (why that doesn't happen in the minors is material for another post!!!). I think what will happen is that Hicks will be the starter out of spring training, until he fails. Then if Rosario is playing decent at all, he will be up, with Buxton in September – provided hes having an above average season. Why is it that people think that Santana should be the starter at shortstop over Escubar??
  3. I hope that his next injury is not career threatening, like Jason Kubel blowing out his knee. So far hes been 'lucky', all his injuries have been able to heal. Another concussion wouldn't be good either.
  4. Thanks Seth for the informative, POSITIVE article on the Twins chances in the upcoming years!!!
  5. After watching Aaron Hicks fail miserably after being brought up too soon?? After both being injured for most of the year?? NOT a good idea!!! Twins are desperate but not stupid.
  6. Thanks for taking the time to write this up Seth!!!! Very encouraging after a 90 loss season!! Hopefully most of those young arms will make it to the majors!!!
  7. When the Twins get closer, meaning they've won 85 games and one more stud pitcher would put them over the hump, then make a trade -- but do it from a position of excess, third base, DH, or some other position of excess. They have Pinto, Arcia, and Vargas all needing at bats, and the first two are poor defensively, trade one of them.
  8. Yikes!!! Grim report!! Instead of extra practice for the offenders, how about wind sprints or laps for the whole team?? Gardy needs to make them all realize that he's serious!!
  9. I think it would be better to leave him in AA, have some success, and build up his confidence for next year. He struggled intially in AA and would probably do the same in AAA, better to finish the year on a strong note in AA.
  10. Its always tough at the trading deadline, are you a seller or a buyer?? How many games do you need to be out of first place to say you're a seller? Hopefully Terry R. will lean on the side of selling and adding more young players for the future.
  11. Good article Jim!!! First time I had been to Knuckleballs, bookmarked it.
