    They are 24-32 since June 1st so that is no longer a small sample size (56 games) and more likely what they are. IMO most of these changes will make the team better, now and in the long run.

    At this point the ship has sailed, imo. The Twins have played at a .428 clip since June 1st and if that pace continues they'll finish 78-84. Terry has been asleep at the wheel now for over a month and he let the season slip away. He has had a lot of time to do something to fix at least some of the Twins holes and he hasn't.

    Terry has been the GM for 17 years. He has a sub 500 record by over 100 games. His teams have won one playoff series, 13 years ago. His teams have won a total of 6 playoff games, the last 11 years ago. You'd have a hard time finding another team GM with that kind of record that still has his job. Terry is what he is and always has been. The problem is Jim Pohlad doesn't care, if he did care there would have been a change a long time ago. Did he fire Bill Smith because of his record, no he got fired because he spent to much money. Say what you will about Smith but he went for it and tried to win. The 2010 team was probably the most talented Twins team ever. A year later he gets fired and the payroll is cut. That says everything.

    I didn't say Dozier would be a perfect 3 hole hitter just better than Mauer and likely the best option we have at this time, imo.

    An easy fix is to switch Dozier and Mauer. Joe has about the best OBP of the regulars. Dozier should be hitting his homeruns with guys on base while now they are nearly always empty.

    Well Terry should be happy he got the bullpen fixed. He can go back fishing with Bark.

    100% agree with this. What's more important winning games or saves? Check your ego at the door and do what's best for the team.

    Kimbrel isn't a free agent until 2018 so we'd have him for 2+ years. I'd do that trade for Kepler. We have plenty of Of's at this point not much at the end of the bullpen. Kimbrel and Perkins in the 8th and 9th would be very nice the next two years, imo.
