  1. Goodbye Byron when they just signed him to a 7 year deal? The ****?
  2. The Twins have 9 more games until the all-star break. They stand at 47-38 and 1st place in the AL Central. The next 9 games will include a 3-game set in Arlington, and then a 6-game homestand where they will play the Brew Crew 2 times and the South Side Sox 4 times. Questions for Discussion: 1. How do you think this 9-game stretch is going to go record wise? (Vote above) 2. What most heavily influenced your choice? 3. What are the key x-factors for this team to finish strong before the break? 4. (OPTIONAL) What do you think this team will do at the trade deadline and why?
  3. I personally would go after Castillo. He’s a really good TOR starter and I think, like Sonny Gray, he would improve when pitching in Minnesota.
  4. Is that your cousin, Richie?
  5. Twins winning on the South Side
  6. IDK about that, there are probably some damn good center fielders on the moon. They can probably jump pretty high.
  7. I don’t know about you, but I like being on the winning side of a late inning comeback for once (twice now) after being on the losing end sooo many times.
  8. Good work, Buxton! Pulled it out in the end!
  9. I love how the Twins are inches away from sweeping their division rival, take a series loss from it, and then refuse to show up against the Orioles of all teams.
  10. I cannot believe we’re making the Orioles look good
  11. Hell no
  12. Then go ahead. Show us.
  13. He’s just asking to see how you calculated Baldelli’s -43 WAR. It can’t be that complicated.
  14. If you want to win a World Series, you keep Correa no matter what the price is. It’s not often that a mid-market team like the Twins has the opportunity to sign a player of Correa’s caliber who is also a former World Champion.
  15. Concur with Mike, the Twins shouldn’t weaken their team when they have a chance to go for it in the playoffs. They should be buyers, not sellers.
  16. I think the GM has the final say
  17. I thought that was the GM’s job.
  18. If he stays healthy, 40-45 maybe?
  19. But does it though? I think it falls on the coaching staff as a whole, not just the manager. Maybe I’m wrong, IDK.
  20. The key words here are “and his staff.” And “his staff” is a lot of coaches. If you want to blame the coaching staff as a whole, I can see where you’re coming from, even though I disagree. But you can’t pin all of that on the manager. Baldelli was also a very fundamentally sound player when he played the game. I don’t believe the bad fundamentals are coming from him. The situational hitting issues and the run manufacturing issues do not fall on the manager, they fall on the hitting coach, Edgar Varela. Baldelli’s team did not struggle with either of those two things in 2019 when the hitting coach was James Rowson. I don’t believe the offense is a Baldelli problem.
  21. I think we can trust Jax with a 2.80 ERA over 25 appearances. Outside of Jax, Thielbar, and Duran, the Twins need 1-2 more relievers at the deadline.
