  1. I hope they don't have Molly and Lou return as central characters, I like the whole new story line/cast etc that is playing out now, maybe have them briefly appear in a cameo or something. I could also see the entire story taking place in some other city/area completely. One guy I could see wreaking havoc in season 3 would be Mr. Wrench.
  2. Agreed 100%, I think its OK to keep one bullpen spot open for one of those guys to potentially earn out of spring training, if none step up, then you go out and sign a Boyer/Stauffer type to me your 7th man out of the pen. I'd just like the closer, 2 shut down set up guys set prior, the Twins have the closer and one shut down guy in Perkins and Jepsen, one more shut down guy is needed IMO.
  3. The problem is Perkins isn't that great against LHP, he can get ANYBODY out, so he shouldn't be limited to only facing LHB etc.
  4. Plenty of relievers, yes. But the number of guys who are shut down or potential shut down 7th/8th inning types is growing shorter by the hour seemingly. That is who I think most fans want the Twins to go after, a Clippard, Storen (trade) etc type, not just a "lets see who is left in a couple months, Stauffer, Boyer signing type"
  5. I get annoyed as anyone about the Twins lack of action, but it should be noted the Twins never are mentioned in "rumors" most of their bigger signings come out of left field. They do a good job keeping things in house for the most part.
  6. I think it's always a somewhat foolish idea to count on non elite rookies/prospects to instantly "fill in" anywhere, heck, as we have seen more often then not its foolhardy to count on elite prospects to instantly fill in.
  7. I get this line of thinking, but other than Perkins (and now May-ugh) who have they brought up through their own ranks who have been "dominant" relief pitchers in the last decade or so? While I understand and am excited to see some of those guys get a chance, I don't think its out of the realm to hope/wish/pray that the Twins would sign just one more proven back end relief pitcher type. So far they have two in Jepsen and Perkins, and Perkins has a whole lot of question marks currently. After that you have May, who should be a starter and then a bunch of question marks or mediocrity (Fien, Tonkin, Boyer etc)
  8. http://forum-s3.pinside.com/201209/425479/45600.jpg Though I would go for "1 of 17" :banghead: :banghead:
  9. I think that is a reach....this was two teammates fighting, not an "abuse" situation. If he really wanted to do something good he could donate the money to Bryce Harpers charity.
  10. Meh, I think these things happen all the time (reminder that Torii "the bestest leaderest, leader of all time" threw some punches at Twins team-mates. Paps problem was it was caught on camera, also there have been plenty of players who have tried to fight Harper so far in his career. Is Paps a douchebag? Absolutely Is he still a dominant pitcher? Absolutely
  11. If they trot out Sano-Rosario-Arcia opening day after having just traded Hicks, then Ryan should just resign on the spot. That is inexcusable.
  12. I want him to ravage me sexually.
  13. No, but they often at the very least make the post-season.
  14. I agree 100%, Iwakuma is a steal for them and I would have loved to see the Twins take a run at him if he was truly on the "open" market. He instantly would have become the Twins best pitcher. However, as it does "replace" Greinke in the rotation, I think the downgrade is pretty significant, Grienke was the definition of elite last year.
  15. Trade him to the Twins!
  16. You sure about that?
  17. Meh, I mean you can't really replace Grienke as he is a top 5 pitcher in all of baseball currently.
  18. That's a big blow for the Mariners, but yet another shrewd move by the Dodgers, should be a very good #3 in the NL.
  19. The thing is, with a lot of this extremist type thinking (or any "cult" in general) people aren't thinking rationally, for all we know, they did this to save their child.
  20. You can pull my Jerry Ryan references from my cold dead hands.
  21. Dodgers just got Chapman. Good for them. Wish the Twins would have made a run at him.
  22. OU and Bama are the best two teams, this sets up the ideal scenario for the championship game IMO Also they couldn't keep OU at 3 and GIVE them a home game in Dallas.
  23. Yeah, but then again if any team would say yes to giving up both it would be the Dodgers. I would gladly give up Berrios+Kepler+Stewart+ anyone else not named Buxton or Sano for Fernandez, sadly that wouldn't come close to what they needed.
  24. So you are saying they beat no one, northwestern and Wisconsin are both bad teams this year.
