  1. LOL, keep hating. How did Notre Dame by the way? The Sooners almost scored half a hundred on them prior to half time, it doesn't matter who the QB was for OSU, they were going to win that game. The Sooners likely have the best QB, best RB and best WR in all of the NCAA currently, the defense has given up some points here and there but their record and schedule stands for itself. The scary thing for the rest of football is this team will only get better, dynasty in the making.
  2. Yup. If it was a foregone conclusion that he would be a 35/100/.900 type guy he would be getting 5 years 100 million instead of 5/30....
  3. Good point, I never tried to call anyone names, I was just kind of shocked that I read something in an otherwise great thread, I apologize if I sidetracked it at all, honestly. I was just taken back a bit.
  4. Bama won't lose. 17 point favorite, Saban won't allow it. Clemson has a shot to lose for sure though. I think I would take a one loss Ohio State over a two loss Stanford in a heartbeat. I can't take North Carolina seriously even with a win as well to be honest. But it wouldn't be the end of the world if they made it. Too bad there isn't an undefeated mid major this year to make it really interesting.
  5. um no, I never implied that or said that. I was asking you to clarify what you were saying.
  6. Yup, and he would just be one year older etc. It's kind of a ****ty position for the player to be in himself to be honest, but them da rules.
  7. Not their problem IMO, Leopold and company own a private business and it's in their best interest to make money. I have ran ad campaigns for the armed services before, those are "tax dollars" but I think on average they need to spend something like $25,000 in advertising for every one "recruit" to make it work out. So it does make SOME sense for them to spend some of this money, since it is needed and does work in getting new recruits, however a lot of this DoD stuff to the teams etc is just a waste of money, for a small % they could be much more effective by sponsoring high school athletics (where they would be able to attract a lot more eligible potential future soldiers)
  8. And down goes Notre Dame! Who still failed to beat NO ONE. Oklahoma is now a stone cold lock for the playoffs. Clemson, Bama, Mich State and Iowa all get in with a win as well. If I were setting the odds I would put the odds as following to "win it all" Bama: 3:2 OU: 2:1 Clemson 4:1 Mich State: 6:1 Iowa: 10:1
  9. What exactly are you trying to say here? Because if you are saying what it appears you are saying , I suggest you go back and rethink it, because it is incredibly dense and beyond missing the point.
  10. Dude what? Why would you blame the Vikings and the Wild, do you know how advertising and sponsorships work? It often goes to whoever will "pay the asking price". I don't blame the Vkkings or the Wild from "taking the money" from the DoD, they are offering up the money, and the team are accepting it. If Target, Budweiser or the Sham wow offered up the same amount of money for a promotion I would expect any of the teams to accept those as well. In fact, if the Wild or Vikings refused their money it would be a significantly larger issue IMO I blame the DoD for wasting so much damn money on this garbage, not the teams, sales people etc from accepting the money.
  11. The twins completely and utterly screwed up when they let Ortiz walk, any narrative suggesting that it wasn't a huge blunder is just false. Dude had 20 HR in like 90 games the year prior, and they let him walk over 1.5 million or so. The twins weren't a clean team anyways, they have had multiple guys busted for roids (fwiw Papi has never been suspended a single game and continues to do nothing but mash)
  12. Park is going to sign. The question is will it be closer to 4 years 20 mil or 5 years 30 mil. I would prefer the latter since it would lock him up longer if he can prove to be a 30 HR type guy
  13. still 4 months out from opening day....
  14. Tell me again how Oklahoma isn't a top 4 team this year? Hell, tell me again how Oklahoma isn't the BEST team in the nation right now :jump:
  15. Yeah I always thought people liked Jesse, for at least the first few years at least.
  16. It's funny because he is old!
  17. I would love to see Trump run independent for the Lulz alone, it would make the debates a helluva lot more entertaining for sure.
  18. if you say so. You say Tennessee isn't anything special but tried to tell me that Navy, Temple and Pitt where. The numbers don't lie:2nd hardest schedule
  19. No they aren't, and no you can't. Unless you are trying to say that Pitt Navy and Temple are somehow better than Baylor, TCU and Tennessee
  20. Notre Dame victories: Texas: Bad team. Virgina: 4-7, bad team Georgia Tech: 3-8, terrible team. Mass: 2-9, in the MAC! Literally one of the worst teams in football. Navy: Worst conference in NCAA Temple: See: Navy, but even worse. USC: Disaster of a season, only 7 wins. Wake Forest: 3-8, terrible team. Pitt: Mediocre Team, might finish in the top 40 Boston College: 0-7 in conference, should have beaten Notre Dame anyways. I don't see one "quality" win, I see two "decent" wins over top 50 programs like USC and Pitt.
  21. Nebraska is terrible this year, trust me, I have watched every game. 2nd hardest schedule in NCAA, you can talk all you want about Baylor having a backup QB, but that backup QB just beat Oklahoma State last week. Also, OU had to play their backup QB for half of the game against TCU. You can try to talk it down all you want for being "misleading" but tell me one good team that Notre Dame beat this year, I am waiting for that.
  22. Again, if OU wins this weekend that means they would have beat Baylor, TCU and OSU in the last three weeks of the season (all top 4 teams within the last 5-6 weeks, and all legit top 10 teams overall) Find me another one loss team that has beaten 3 top teams. OSU-Who have they beat? Notre Dame- Who have they beat? Michigan State- People complain about OU losing to Texas, but MSU losing to Nebraska is wayyyyyyy worse.
  23. LOL, you say this, but talk up the crappy Gophers out of the terrible Big ten.
  24. Much tougher schedule LOL! Might want to check again, Oklahoma has the 2nd best strength of schedule in the entire NCAA! Notre Dame has played NOBODY with the exception of Clemson, Notre Dame should be out of the top 4, if they are undefeated? Fine, let them in. If not? No dice, join a conference like every other school, you aren't that special any more Notre Dame. Oklahoma has the 2nd hardest schedule in college football and has come off back to back big time wins, if they beat OSU at OSU they are a shoe in for the top 4. Yeah the Texas loss was a bad one, **** happens. OU is clearly one of the best two or three teams in college football.
  25. Also huge fan of the multiple big lebowski references and Miller crossing reference. RIP undertaker, we hardly knew thee.
