  1. ^ffs…..Kirby P. would be proud of Royce.
  2. The twins will be a much different team without polo if he does get traded. Any info out in the rumor world about who is asking about him and what they are offering?
  3. A healthy C4 turns 15 of the gidp into rbi singles or doubles. Just that would have made ‘23 an average season for him. I’m not even worried about ‘24. He will be healthy and thriving at the plate.
  4. I’m excited about all these young arms and Its a nice list. I’m most concerned about SWR stalling out. He is still young so if the maturity kicks in this year to a degree, he could be the next Varland or Jax. Festa, culpepper and Lewis in 2025/26 might make us the next Miami rich in young SP.
  5. Why not offer Farmer, Noah miller, Vasquez and Rosario. Clean up some of our 2nd tier prospects and a couple solid vets.
  6. If 2.4 happens again, great!! He could be a long term asset or he could regress. Its gonna be exciting watching him if indeed he is for real and sustains his breakout season.
  7. I hope they roll with the hot bat and glove. Some guys regress and others figure out the constant adjustments and growth that is needed for a long career. As they say, the cream rises to the top. I do agree that we should have 2-3 utility guys because of the fragility of un named vets.
  8. @TopGunn#22 what kind of trade would you work up for Braxton Garret?
  9. Buying Luzardo seems like we would have to out bid other teams so we pay a premium to boot. Not a great plan. Get another guy with a lower price and longer team control
  10. Some good nuggets in your story. MAT will probably get a 2 yr $15M deal from someone but it wont be us. Another good young pitcher would be awesome. Even if it took him 2 years to become a Pablo sidekick. I hope the Twins pick the right guy and they don’t overpay.
  11. https://puckettspond.com/posts/2024-mlb-draft-order-minnesota-twins-pick The Yankees had a tough couple days!
  12. I see the biggest problem with winning games in ‘23 was that we played guys that weren’t healthy. Bucks knee hurt and he sucked playing with pain. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE DL. If his pain is gone with the last surgery then he has a very good Allstar potential season ahead (until he gets injured). Correa played thru pain for months and sucked with RISP. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE DL. If his health holds up in ‘24, he has another Allstar weekend ticket. If Ryan would have gotten treatment for his minor injury instead of hiding it, we could have played a healthy albeit not as talented SP. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE DL. If Ryan pitches like he did before he got hurt. He may get a ‘24 Allstar weekend ticket. Why they trotted out injured players to lose games instead of giving them time off is ridiculous. Why they stuck with Gallo deep into his slump was ridiculous. in ‘24, if we just add some solid role players, we will have plenty of depth. We have enough developing AAA talent to break glass incase of emergency as well. Mgmnt has to learn from the mistakes of ‘23. Players get hurt and need time off. If they are hurt. Heal there bodies even if you hurt their ego. As fanatics, please stop saying players suck because they get hurt. Injuries happen. Its more of an injury mgmnt issue. Stay healthy boys, we got a WS to go win.
  13. I think it can only go up if say AZ signs a QO guy. AZ might lose a pick just ahead of us? Other wise, once the QO guys sign, our 2nd round pick and comp B may move up if the signing team loses their 2nd rounder. (I think) but then if they are signed for over $50M then the team that lost them slots in around 33ish?
  14. @Nine of twelve I thought there is some sort of max position loss in place. I could be wrong.
  15. I have a question, If the Twins picked up a rule 5 guy, would they lose the 33rd pick or the 2nd round pick?
  16. I believe its 33rd pick the the 2nd round pick will be late 50s depending on where the QO decliners sign. I believe those teams lose their 2 overall draft pick and then 11 picks later we get the compB pick so thats 4 picks in about the top 60ish. Hopefully its gonna be quite the draft possibilities!!
  17. Ive read a couple mock drafts. Its heavy on college bats OF and 1st base. A couple real nice college pitchers. Definitely no clear cut #1 yet but a pitcher most likely wont be the first pick.
  18. Exactly!! MAT is a better fit than Oneil. That one spot has to be an upgrade. No different than the first SP we sign. It has to be an upgrade over Maeda’s ceiling. Austin Martin is the young/cheap version of MAT role. With the rumors going around that Buck will be ready for CF, Martin can be the backup plan with Castro being the emergency break glass savior until an in season trade can take place if buck goes on the 300 day DL.
  19. A trade for Oneil would cost us a chicken sandwich and a Coors light? Some fries to seal the deal! Lets do better than that.
  20. I’ve heard some females say the same thing.🤣🤣
  21. @KBJ1 Austin Martin may end up better than Kiermaer but certainly hasn’t reach untouchable status yet. I hope he sticks around here but then I didn’t think Arraez would be traded. I like your list tho and would probably add Jeffers to untouchable this year hoping that he improves on his 23 season. That allows us to trade CV with Carmargo taking over backup in 24/25. I wouldn’t give anyone a forever untouchable unless they were a perennial allstar. In that case, just open the wallet and pay them.
