  1. Double those numbers and maybe you get closer. But I’d be open to it too.
  2. 5 prospects going back to Washington, including Texas's 2nd ranked prospect Gavin Fien. Sharing here mostly as we've now seen Freddy Peralta go to the Mets as well as Gore going to the Rangers in about a 24 hour span. Useful for when/if the Twins do listen on the likes of Joe Ryan (as an example) if we want to compare value in these deals. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/01/rangers-to-acquire-mackenzie-gore.html
  3. Spring will be super interesting for Ober. If he is hitting 91-93 this spring then he is definitely penciled in and ready to go. If he is more 88-89 for his 4 seam, then I can’t see him being one of their best 5 starting options.
  4. I would trade Larnach next. If you get a reliever, great. If you get a prospect you like, great. I'd also trade for a reliever they like something about, and I'd sign a decent reliever or two. I wouldn't trade Jeffers, I do think he is going to show he can catch 100+ games going into his free agency. And I'm good with that too. If they do more than this, which I think is still needed, that'd be a lot of fun.
  5. I think all the pitchers will be up at some point this season. I don’t know if any debut opening day, we will see. I could be very wrong, but I have a hard time planning around Gonzalez. I like the bat to ball along with the speed and defense that Martin alone, let alone maybe Roden, ahead of the defense Gonzalez can provide. And Jenkins isn’t far behind, and I guess same with Rodriguez if he is healthy. But if Gonzalez carves out a spot with everyone ahead of him, I’ll gladly be wrong. I can’t see Fedko being more than a backup to the backup to the backup bench option against lefties
  6. Not if they trade Larnach and either Ober or Ryan for prospect level returns. There are ways to make room. This one to me screams that there is more to come
  7. So, um, this is interesting. Is Jeffers getting traded? Something else?
  8. I'm not saying Clemens is the answer. But he did grade out well at 1B defensively last year. That's not something Bell has done. That's mostly what I'm getting at. But maybe Keaschall or Lee or someone else is the 1b defensively at some point? Who knows. Wallner has real power, and looking at his 2023 and 2024 numbers shows there is a real hitter there. I do think he has to get back to that level of production to hold off the younger guys who are close though. But someone would give something real for him.
  9. See if it started with Shaw and Wiggins I'd listen on Ryan. I don't know after that what would need to take place, but IF he can be a positive addition to the clubhouse, then he is the type of player to headline a deal. At least in my opinion.
  10. His prospect savant profile, which is similar but with AAA data, is very encouraging. https://prospectsavant.com/player/807713 I do think him as a headliner for Ryan makes sense, but more would have to come with. Especially with the headlines he generated last season for skipping out on the team etc. But he is the TYPE of player that still has upside that one would need as a headliner if they are going to move someone like Ryan. I just hope the people who are looking into players to trade confirm also the fit inside the clubhouse. If he is going to be a negative add to the clubhouse personality wise, then I stay away.
  11. I still just can't see Larnach back. Or Wallner I guess. But I don't see the fit for carrying both on opening day with how many other options, especially better defensive options, are ready to be up by May or June if nothing else. I know we list him at DH, but I still think Josh Bell as the primary dh makes a lot of sense with better defenders covering defense at 1B. I could be wrong. Not saying they will get much in trade for Larnch. I just don't see the fit here.
  12. This was a fun read and I very much appreciated the movie references. Thank you
  13. I don't think Jeffers is perfect by any means. But it better be a really good return along with many more moves.
  14. Seriously though; Larnach won’t be back. How the bench will look is going to be interesting to say the least. I’m curious if Wallner is even in the long term plans. Lots of moves to still be made, I’d imagine
  15. How do all of them fit though? Like where is Julien going to play other than dh?
  16. If I were a betting man, all 3 of these players are still on the team on June 1, and none of the 3 “unluckiest” are. I’d even go further to guess that at least 1 if not 2 of the “unluckiest” don’t make it past opening day. Willing to be wrong
  17. And if Ober doesn’t get his velocity back to those levels he won’t be long for the Twins rotation either
  18. Only here to say that Bailey Ober and David Peterson both had similar average fastball velocities in 2024. But I agree I don’t see a trade happening either
  19. Bailey Ober wasn't a 5 era pitcher in any year prior to 2025. Frankly his 2023 and his 2024 were very good. But I have to think that they want to see some bounce-back from him prior to thinking about trading him anyway.
  20. I'd be ok with looking into a move like this. I wouldn't want him to plan to be the backup 3b based on his lack of range, but maybe he can be a decent 1B defensively.
  21. Is Walkers defense still better than what Clemens showed last year? Not that I think Clemens is a star, but I wouldn’t want to add Christian Walker if we already have Christian Walker at home :)
  22. I feel like for a time Roden or Martin can back up cf prior to Jenkins or Rodriguez debuting. I wouldn’t count on Larnach being here, and I’m not even certain Wallner has a long term place any longer. Julien and Outman both will have to show something to stay on the roster past spring training. Frankly, if Larnach brings back anything, great. If Wallner gets you a decent reliever, great! I guess I’d lean into players who can be at least average if not better defensively if possible based on who you listed
