I would think, this time of year, "player to be named later" isn't one of the players added in a deal. If/when a trade happens, all of the players will be named at that time

I'd have to think resigning Turner helps in the fact that the dodgers don't have to use assets they may want to be using for Dozier to now instead acquire a 3rd baseman.

Let's say, hypothetically, a deal of Stewart, Alvarez and Lux for Dozier takes place. Stewart is in the rotation day 1, but Alvarez is at fort Myers next year to start, and Lux is probably at Cedar Rapids at some point next year. In that scenario, the only thing to do with the 40 man or opening day roster would be figuring out the rotation, but maybe also finding a new ss and/or outfielder. Isn't acquiring more talent, overall, a good thing?

I'm with you, although part of me would LOVE the Stewart, Alvarez and Lux trade, if that is on the table. De Leon has only thrown over 100 innings in a season once (114 in 2015) and only threw 88 in 2016. In thinking he isn't ready for a full season until possibly 2018.

If people could pick a favorite/realistic/previously mentioned group of 3-4 players, what would the favorite be? 1) Bellinger, De Leon, other 2) Stewart, Alvarez, Lux 3) De Leon, Alvarez, other 4) De Leon, Stewart, Lux 5) De Leon, Lux, Puig What am I missing? Which ones are realistic?

When has the line "Let's see, we are going to pay you less than half of what you are worth, and instead of living by the ocean, you get to live in a suburb" worked on anyone who doesn't have kids and also isn't from an area where they have roots of any kind? -
I'd be fine with Stewart, Alvarez, Lux and a 16 year old gcl level prospect. De Leon wouldn't be a holdup for me

I kind of assumed a deal could be built around De Leon and Lux forever, thinking that Alvarez and Bellinger were off limits. Still want to see something happen. Absolutely will be fun to have something happen

I'd go this order for favorite...1) Lux 1a) Buehler 2) Calhoun 3) Stewart And I would LOVE Stewart. Calhoun is a future dh, but a good one, apparentlyp

I don't know, finding a future SS is right up there for me. I know Calhoun is highly regarded, but I'd lean Lux over these 3. But really, the first two (De Leon and of course Alvarez) are the big gets for me.

The Dodgers have a very good farm system. I can only really see the 3rd and 4th options being poor ideas to the Twins if the Dodgers are trying to send back contracts, like Puig or Ethier or one of their pitchers like Kazmir. What I am asking is, are the Dodgers offering contracts/veterans along with De Leon and Alvarez, or moreso prospects that aren't as highly regarded as Lux?

Exactly; this was absolutely unrealistic in my mind at any point before now. I don't want to get too excited for this, but it'll be fun to see when a trade occurs

If this is true, this is an AMAZING offer. I like that the Twins would be pushing to add Lux to the deal, but there are still other quality prospects to be had, and getting these two (De Leon and Alvarez) felt too good to be true a few days ago. Thank you for the update. Now I won't be productive at all this evening either
