  1. I'd almost feel better if we were getting blown out. Can't stand this infinite parade of 3-1, 4-2 losses.
  2. So who is our long reliever ? Or do we use another starter?
  3. Once again #DomeSuperiority. Why do you guys want to be outside? Like animals?
  4. Is that deep? I think it is actually the bare minimum.
  5. Twins know whoever they start will get shelled. Recent history against the Indians says the starter gives up seven and the long reliever four. So Twins are just cutting out the starter, putting in May as long reliever, he gives up four runs and keeps us at least in the game for the first few innings. This is genius next-level stuff from the Twins.
  6. According to wikipedia the twins retain the records and history to the Washington Senators (1901–60). Doesn't that feel kind of weird? After all walter johnson played for Washington fans, not Minnesotans. Maybe package the history and records in a deal for wilson ramos.
  7. Talk about a small sample size!
  8. Couldn't watch the game today, what did he look like at 3B?
  9. Twins will be above .500 at the all star break, for those wanting to collect on bets early
  10. Also with the Twins going promotion crazy this year I bet it is Sano, any other year I'd say Hicks.
  11. E. Santana is a career .125 hitter but has never DH'd, for those wondering
  12. I haven't followed the Pete Rose saga much. I don't see why he can't be considered for the HOF for betting on baseball; while PEDs users, who actually cheated at baseball, are at least considered eligible?
  13. I knew you would betray Chattanooga Chatter for Lookout Lookins. It ate away at you didn't it? Having one city name ruining the pattern of all team names? Fair enough.
  14. I like Lookout Look-ins but I'm voting for Chattanooga Chatter
  15. There is some universe where Santana was going to be really awful the first 80 games and dominant the rest of the year. The powers that be mended the fabric of time to get him suspended. Thank you timechangers of the future, thank you. HOPE
  16. 7 players in two years is a pretty good change of pace. My concern is Piazza/whoever doesn't get in next year because voters will want Griffey 'to go in alone.'
  17. He's probably thinking long and hard about the Twins 2 yr/15 million dollar offer.
  18. I realize hindsight is 20/20, but if we had signed Torii two years ago instead of the Tigers, he'd be wrapping up his time here, having filled our outfield in a genuine time of need, and having already mentored Hicks/Arcia to whatever effect. Is that worth 2 years/26 million? Seems like a better value then our current 1/10.5 deal. I'm not saying mentoring is all Hicks/Arcia need, but I think there is a legit benefit and if that is what we are now paying for, couldn't we have spent the money two years ago and they'd have been magically mentored into professionals by now?
  19. If it's true that the Twins have not even made a phone call to his agent then I move from a Terry Ryan supporter to a fire Terry Ryan supporter. Does it hurt to call a guy with a history of getting results out of young talent on a small market team?
  20. He has excelled with a small market team and a talented farm system. The Twins provide both and are currently manager-less.
  21. It feels like this article has popped up every one of the last three years. What ends up happening is players show flashes of brilliance but have an overall average or below average year and you start the next year with the same questions about the same players and the same article advocating for a question answering year. It's a vicious cycle.
  22. Isn't it Minnesota law that purchases above $20 with a credit card require ID? I seem to remember that from my retails days, might be why they could only get $20 from Walmart.
  23. I understand that you don't want him catching full time or even part time due to concussion risk, but I never understood why he couldn't serve as the mythical emergency 'third catcher' Gardy had to have but rarely had to use. Surely in that role, the slightly elevated concussion risk at catcher is minimized over the few if any games he is actually needed.
