    I wonder if Kintzler had gone due to injury would everyone be so eager to tank? I get that selling sends a message but it doesn't mean you have to intentionally tank (in August anyway). Maybe they they called up Gee because they think he has the best chance to win.

    Beyond Granite where is the depth? LaMonte Wade only just made it to AA. We are one injury away from having very thin outfield depth, unless we are counting Garver now?

    I'm not sure I qualify a Santiago start as 'pray for rain' just yet. He's only had two starts where he gave up more than 3 ER and one was on short rest against the Astros. Granted he seems consistantly 2-3 outs away from a quality start but at least the Twins are usually in the game when he pitches.

    Ellsbury headed to concussion DL which opens up CF for Hicks. Last 10 games though not so good for him, hitting just .166. Season average has now dipped below .300 and OPS is once again below 1.000.

    This is reasonably annoying. Game against hard slumping royals postponed and now again against CHISOX. Both teams will be playing better by the time the make up games come around.
