  1. Kubel has been added to the 40 and 25 man roster, so the question now becomes Parmelee or Colabello, or Bartlett.
  2. My Minnesota math says there are only two.
  3. No, talk Molitor out of retirement to be a player-coach. He can DH and bat lead off.
  4. I want to know if Number Six is going to be Patrick McGoohan or Tricia Helfer.
  5. Jim Kaat used to pinch run quite a bit. Kitty was a decent hitter too, if I recall.
  6. Bartlett is probably there in case Florimon has recovery issues. That looks unlikely. Kubel seems to be a lock at this point, using the 40-man spot vacated by Worley. If he puts up numbers comparable to Morneau or Doumit the past couple of years they'll get their money's worth. It looks like the final spot is Parmelee/Colabello as backup first baseman. I'll guess Parm because of the option situation. Diamond to the pen for the same reason. It's likely things will be reevaluated around the end of April when Terry Ryan has completed his treatments.
  7. If Kubel puts up numbers similar to 2013 Morneau he'll be worth it. Otherwise, maybe not. I wouldn't mind seeing Vargas up before the year ends.
  8. You ain't nothin but a hound dog...
  9. It appears Chris Herrmann will be doing his enabling from Rochester. I'm pretty sure that means Pinto makes the team.
  10. Having Mauer healthy and able to play the last couple months of the season may make a difference, too. And if Willingham regresses to the mean his season should be considerably better than last year.
  11. Wasn't he in Alien Nation?
  12. Come for the gloom and doom, stay for the discounts.
  13. The more interesting question is: will this be the worst team of the next four years?
  14. Real fans will look forward to different things, though. I look forward to killing a few hours a week, and maybe having a beer and a dog. And I'm both a fan and real. Or maybe a fan and complex. Possibly even a fan and transfinite. I trust this will not insult anyone. Oh, and I'll go out on a limb and answer the original question, no.
  15. I'm going to guess 8-10'. Same as mine.
  16. I read that a big company was upset with a unconfirmed information leak. I've heard rumors that other big companies have reacted the same way.
  17. Bat second, play catcher. It's what everybody screamed for with Mauer last year. Looks like it stuck.
  18. Hope he makes it through, and gets a chance to develop the skill he needs to be a successful big league starter again. I'm guessing Kubel will take his place on the 40-man.
  19. Hope so. He's an important part of the team. I still hope Gardy starts him down in the order for a while. He will work his way back into the lead off spot eventually.
  20. It does seem that Kubel, Hicks, and Diamond read Mr. Antony's little rant, and took it to heart.
  21. A pair of designated hits by Kubel against a lefty. Rare, like good prime rib.
  22. I do wonder if Miller, Bollinger, and Berardino are treated a bit more warmly. Souhan may have burned a bridge or two.
  23. Especially because Seth is actually Parker.
