    I know it was low leverage, but it was nice to see Perkins pitch effectively. Im sentimental, but I want him to be an effective pitcher again, even for a short time.

    Heres a discussion I had with friends and family: Mauer is a no-doubt Twins HoFer, but does #7 get retired? The only number that is retired that isnt in the national HoF (29,3, 34, 28) or won World Series (14, 10) is Oliva #6. Personally, I think 7 should be retired, like said above, a lot of people didnt appreciate what was happening for many years.

    I am surprised by all the Smalley love, to be honest. I cant stand him. He is way too verbose, he may have some good points or insight or stories, but it takes 2 1/2 innings for him to get to the point. Notice how many times he says "to get back to my point...". Im not sure who I like most, probably TK, but only in small amounts. Overall, the radio guys (mainly Cory and Kris), are my favorites. but calling baseball on TV and radio are very different skill sets. but to each his/her own...

    Im doing the Green Line triple header this weekend (Twins at 1pm, MNUFC at TCF at 4, then getting to the Saints game a little late, 5pm). Not much else to say, just excited for it.

    Where are you from (be as specific as you are comfortable): Grew up in Roseville, college at St Thomas moved to Omaha and then KC for med school and training, moved back to St Paul in 2014. What is your age (or age range, if you prefer): 32 How long have you been a Twins fan? As long as I can remember, I dont remember the '87 series, but there's home video of me talking about how the Twins will win. Solidified for eternity with my Twins tattoo in 2011. What have a couple of your best Twins memories been? Home opener 2015: terrible game, but my son's first game at the age of 3 months. Game 163, Game 7, Meeting my (future) wife in college, she was wearing a Twins shirt (Koskie shirsey) first time we met. Who have some of your favorite players been? Hrbek (my son's middle name is Kent), Kirby, Dougie Baseball, Morneau. I like first basemen. How long have you been reading Twins Daily (or were you following some writers before Twins Daily)? for a few years What brings you back to Twins Daily? How often do you stop by the site? TD is the first website I pull up when I get to work. What brings me back is the actual civil discourse that we, the posters, participate in.

    I 'member. I was at those games. it was awesome. so was staying at the same hotel as the team, and my son meeting most of the team and taking pictures.

    Sloppy is a good way to put it. I was thinking more of the lines of; if you had to rank best WS games, which would be better.

    Which Game 7 was better? Obviously, most of us here are biased towards 1991, and I still think it is better since it was 0-0 until it ended, so the prospect of a run was such a threat. But 2016 was pretty great, from the history of the two teams, to the back and forth scoring, to Rajai Davis's HR, to the rain delay. 1991 is still #1, but 2016 is a close 2nd. Thought?

    I say this all the time to my wife, I wont pretend to know more about baseball than Molitor, but sometimes I wonder what the hell he is doing. That move last night was one of those times.
