  1. I don’t get what you mean here. The source audio will be clean if you’re listening through an app.
  2. Yeah you won't be able to listen online. You'll need the mlb radio app to do that. Or your Sirius app subscription if you have one.
  3. Great news. Now if they could just introduce proper post-game coverage beyond the regular 30 minutes following the team broadcast I would be ecstatic.
  4. Bumping, though I doubt this was missed here... Rick Anderson to be bullpen coach http://www.mlive.com/tigers/index.ssf/2017/10/tigers_joe_vavra.html
  5. I think the bold sentence is where both sides of this argument can be correct. The Pohlads would be willing to spend money when told they need to, but I think they got handcuffed by their own trust in Terry Ryan, and then let St. Peter or whoever is in charge of marketing get to powerful and they just plain have not been successfully marketing the product. These owners are completely reliant on other people to make their business decisions on the baseball club, because they are not baseball people, and they don't want to be.
  6. Many things about the way they run the club really piss me off, but this statement is very true.
  7. It seems that many forget that the last time this club rebuilt themselves into a successful organization they brought in Andy McPhail as a young outsider, who brought in Tom Kelly as a young outsider. The notion of them "taking care of their own", the "Twins Way", and all of those other "traditions" really just began in the late 90's, well after TK and McPhail made a lot of good decisions and rebuilt the culture into what worked at the time. TK pissed a lot of people off along the way. The nostalgia for those days blinds people as to what it really represented, and the harsh realities that go into a true rebuild and culture change.
  8. I like to see so many wishes that we do one more reunion with a name we know, because after all that is the best way to change the culture in this organization....
  9. If the new regime is realistic, they know that outside of catching lightning in a bottle, they still have a 2-3 year process ahead of them. They were forced into extending Molly now, but can continue to rebuild the lower levels of the system as needed, and get through two more years and then just fire him in year three and get who they want.
  10. Is Plouffe available? I smell a reunion coming!!
  11. All I could think about is Jim Pohlad at Twinsfest during the Q&A sitting on the stage with a ****-eating grin saying his favorite player in the minor leagues was Zach Granite "because I like his name."
  12. I'm pretty sure the program of lifetime consulting positions in place of firing is over.
  13. The Wall Street Journal even did a full page on the lopsided playoff record, and pointed out that Mauer and Perkins are th eonly guys remaining from the last time they played in the postseason. A pretty fair article.
  14. It seems there is a memory synapse during the period when he was pissing and moaning over relations with the team and chose to schedule a hunting trip during the special events around the final game at the Metrodome.
  15. This bullpen makes me appreciate how good the 2010 bullpen crew was, at times in spite of Jesse Crain.
  16. The Mauer HOF speech is going to be very moving for sure.
  17. Pensions are protected from bankruptcy. It's a good financial decision to maximize a pension regardless of how much money you've made. Stuf like this likely plays into far more personnel decisions than any of us realize.
  18. I get a tear in my eye every time I realize Perkins is still wasting a spot on this roster.
  19. I was just about to post an "In before anyone says Ozzie." You beat me by 4 minutes.
  20. I'm not sure they are raking in cash the way they were, and certainly not the way they could be if they put a better product out. The sad truth is that takes time considering how ravaged this organization is from top to bottom.
  21. I'm sort of surprised they would cut Ted Williams considering the piece of baseball history he represents, but sometimes change is necessary.
  22. This sort of sounds like a kid named Gomez circa 2010.
  23. At least this club is proving my point that they are not one #4 starter away from being relevent.
  24. So...the fat guy is going to retire if tonight doesn't go well, right?
