  1. Do they really still work the phones? Wouldn't you think they have Instant Messaging and E-mail? Everyone is saying work the phones.
  2. That post is alright. And all right.
  3. This was very apparent when Gomez was struggling early. Casilla, too.
  4. That would be really great, but I think the trip to Florida once a year for a month is about all the travel TK wants to do anymore.
  5. Gardy's eligibility for the full pension is a big factor in this. Rick Anderson told a friend of mine that himself. Management will talk to Gardy at some point and do what they feel is in everyone's best interest. If they fire him, he can get another job as others have said. He plans to work until he's eligible for the pension and no longer. I think he needs one more year to get there. If they don't think there's a job for him (they know), they'll keep him for another year and then make him an alumni. I doubt he is eligible for the pension if he isn't on the field as a coach or manager, but I don't know the answer to that.
  6. I bet this is exactly what's gonna happen!
  7. At this point we can only hope it continues and justifies clearing out Gardy and Rick Anderson.
  8. Season not over! That was a great no-hit bid breakup!
  9. Considering Mauer's need for days off to stay in the lineup, and his team-friendly/fair contract, Doumit is likely off the table, and probably should be.
  10. And the Cardinals, and the Reds, and...the list goes on. They are not "small market" by any stretch anymore.
  11. Doesn't someone post this in every game thread? I'd take that an indication that the answer is "no"
  12. Did you listen to pre and post on 1500? It was a conversation about the team, and where the players were at. Who's struggling, why, and who is just plain getting it wrong (or right). That's what I expect.
  13. Listening to pre and post game on KTWN sounds like listening to state run radio. It is really bad when the team owns the radio broadcast. They refuse to say anything even mildly negative.
  14. That which we do not speak of.
  15. I'll tell you the music in 106 was way too loud, too. Like obnoxiously.
  16. Post game, too. There haven't been regular evening games yet, but if there's no whine-line after games I will be really disappointed driving home at night.
  17. When teams are selling Opening Day tickets at a significant premium, which many are, including the Twins, then people that pay for it need to see Opening Day. This is why the off day needs to stay on the day after OD. Drop the extra premium, and the other solutions here make complete sense.
  18. I didn't know this. Also an employer/employee relationship usually means you have at least enough respect for someone to call them to tell them you aren't renewing their contract. From the public report, the Twins never even did that.
  19. Because Morris doesn't have a job in broadcasting. The Twins walked away from him without even a phone call. Gold help us if Blyleven gets into coaching. They'd need to expand the facility to house his ego.
  20. It was a joke, but this conversation has incited riots in the past.
  21. I thought posts about batting order were considered banned on this board?
  22. Why would you put him on the list? Did he wrestle at one point?
  23. There was very little better entertainment than the time Paul Bearer and the Undertaker sealed the Ultimate Warrior in the casket.
  24. This thread is funny. Season over!
  25. I've consistently had pretty below average experiences, and a big part of it is just the flow of how orders are taken, paid for and filled being very inefficient. I'm pretty understanding and easy-going and I've gotten pretty frustrated. I go to ~40 games/year, so I have a lot of trips to the stand to base my opinion on. I'm sure like anything it's luck, and we remember the bad experiences.
