This season so far has been really frustrating, and I'm not saying he's been perfect, but here are my two thoughts on Baldelli: 1. Ryan Saunders was fired early on in the Wolves season, and it didn't seem to help. I'm not saying Saunders is a basketball guru, but sometimes a underperforming team is an underperforming team 2. Who else is gonna manage if he gets canned? Do we trust anyone else on the coaching staff in the interim?

Agreed. The Twins' have a pretty conservative fanbase overall, and that won't sit well with Grandma and Grandpa Gustafson

Thanks Mother Nature. You couldn't have rained long to cancel the game?

Off topic: The cynic in me hopes this "LaRussa's unwritten rules" vs "White Sox unwritten rules" unravels the team

Right? I'm not saying he's perfect, but so many people have been calling for him to be fired. 1. Who on the staff would be interim? 2. Did firing a Ryan Saunders early on work for the Wolves? No? Maybe it was deeper than a coaching problem

    It's like spelling Mientkiewicz!

I'm not a Strib subscriber. Does it say how long it's been sore? Could explain Jake's struggles this season

I know it's still May, but I feel like this quote fits: "To be honest, sir, we could really use the publicity. I mean, it's only June and people are already talking about Gopher football." -A line from Little Big League

What? A reschedule over a rain delay? "Welcome to Major League Baseball. Sort of." - Harry Doyle I know we suck but play ball!

Not happy but Grossman seems like a good dude

And it sounds like "weeks" not "days" on Buxton!

This may be a topic for a different thread, but this whole discussion triggered something in my mind. Do pitchers still get butthurt about being asked/moved to the bullpen? That might be a naïve question, but it seemed like more of a thing in decades past when it would be a blow to the ego. You'd think players would be savvy enough to know that complaining would hurt future chances of moving back to the starting rotation with the same or a different team. Side Note: I don't have a gauge on him as a person, but I'm not saying that Shoemaker is refusing to go to the pen. I saw his recent Twitter post about how "it sucks to suck" and how he's trying to do better.
