#5??? (Yes, I understand it's hyperbole/over-reactionary.) We will have save situations at some point this season. Even if by some miracle we didn't, Rocco isn't going to have Taylor NOT pitch EVER! Like, "Them's the breaks, kid. Maybe you'll pitch next season." -
I know I ripped him earlier, but this is one thing I've heard people compliment Joe Buck on. He knows when to step back in the big moments and let the viewers soak it all in with the crowd (pre-Covid, of course.)

Quasi-UNrelated and I've never heard him announce a game outside of the movies, but I just heard that Bob Uecker will be celebrating his 50th year of broadcasting at the age of 86!

I have no problem with Roy's content. I struggle listening him stammer his way through his thoughts. Could I do better? No, but I'm also not in broadcasting. It's like what they teach you in public speaking classes. It's better to pause for a moment than it is to trip over your words. I like Justin's insider info, but he's soooooooo monotone. Maybe I'm just used to his playing days when Joe Mauer made him look like Bobcat Goldthwait.

I may be alone on this one, but man, is it tough to listen to Roy Smalley stutter his way through a game. He makes me want to listen to Monotone Justin Morneau.
