    While the Orioles have been one of the majors biggest jokes, after hiring Buck Schowalter...they have tried hard to win. They know that Machado/Bundy are the real deals & arent worried about having them master a level/having their minor league teams get to the playoffs, ala MN, but to get in the time & get to the next level to help the big club win. Machado is in the majors, but MN would have him in Ft Myers right now, no question IMO,....as they will Sano/Rosario next yr. I also am one to believe that Bryce Harper would be in High A also w/MN, as he didnt dominate in his higher minor league play, but WASH knows he was a major league talent, not a minor league filler. Only real frustrating part now to me isnt Sano, but Hicks/Arcia. Terry Ryan has hinted hard that Hicks (despite having to be protected this winter) wont be recalled & they want him in winter ball first. Arcia is still on the bubble for a recall ....says the organization. How much more can he do. If Twins want to disprove this, how about putting their best prospects in AAA instead of Clete Thomas/Wilkin Ramirez etc...guys who will be released after the next 25 AAA gms.

    Think they will get Diamond to 162 major league innings to get him qualified for ERA title. I know he wont win, but get him in the top 10. They didnt qualify anyone last yr, so its a small step for a team to regain credibility. Of course, not every team cares about individual stats....but MN/Gardy does. Cole DeVries is actually 19 innings away from his career high & is currently 39 innings over last yr/36 over 2 yrs ago. If they shut down Diamond but not Cole.....shows the hypocricy they have. Team wont discuss Cole till he has a bad outing tho & that will be the excuse.

    Any way you cut it, his numbers look great. Ive been looking at em since his June (19th)return from his ankle injury. 49gms 60/185 .324/.429/.535 50runs 99TB 11doubles 6triples 6hr 25rbi 44k 33bb hbp 13/18sb already career highs in triples/HR/RBI/SBs & is a wk away from highs in runs/hits/total bases/XBH....BAve & SLgg in full season yrs are a high also

    Absolutely the least they should do is DFA him to clear up a spot on 40man roster. If he wants to play in AAA, so be it as we are short of minor league infielders in upper levels

    I actually believe they WILL resign him & pass him off as a 'new' veteran pitcher for next yr. Hope Im wrong, but this is the Twins/Terry Ryan

    Deserves some HUGE kudos for coming out of nowhere & being an outstanding AA player. Some scouts really screwed up on him. Imagine he'll be the AAA 1B next yr (didnt say ROC tho), & could get a promotion if he continues like this (would be great story)

    Are there any corresponding moves for ELIZ???? 4 SOLID OFs there now. Not surprised as both are gonna start in BEL next yr/desereve it w/play, but this is the Twins organization....so that is a BIG surprise.

    Terry Ryan made the quote that 'The scholarship program (of 2011) is over' in spring training & players were gonna have to earn their spot on the team rather than making due to salary, previous MLB experience, etc...It got a lot of laughs in the Twin Cities. Slowly but surely, that has ended again. I realized it was a lil 'inside' joke, but I still like it

    We mentioned this in another thread, but Im a lil surprised looking at Arcia's positions in OF that he hasnt played LF since GCL (2gms only). He has 40gms in CF in last 3yrs....all of rest in RF Wouldnt you want your OF prospects to play all 3 positions. At least Benson(who many think is best defensively) has played all 3 positions.....tho only 25gms in LF in almost 600gms (425 in CF)

    Right huh??.....they will give him a 'chance', but he's absolutely has to run away with the chance IMOMy thoughts are.... Scot Diamond is in. They will acquire 1 legit (???) starter in FA/trade Possibility of resigning/reworking deal for either Pavano/Baker for a spot is high IMO Nick Blackburn ONLY because of his contract. They could possibly acquire 2 starters in offseason if possiblity 2 or 3 doesnt happen, but one will IMO. That leaves Deduno, DeVries, Gibson, Hendriks, Duensing (bullpen guy IMO in 2013) goin for 5th spot. Still think Deduno will be hurt badly by the fact he doesnt have any options remaining/Blackburns contract.

    I see him as a backup 1b/3b/DH to hit vs lefties. Fulltime starter out of question if a team is healthy. On Pineda, most of us would assume that 21 is too old for GCL & still old for ELIZ....BUT 21 yr olds do play there & a promotion there would be good for him. What more can he do in GCL?? WHOM would you promote & to where out of the current ELIZ OF?? Personally, it would be Romy Jimmenez to Beloit for me. Rene Tosoni was the last player I remember goin straight from ELIZ to Ft Myers & skipping Low A (played 2 end of season gms there). He was 20 in ELIZ & I think as a 20 yr old college guy, Adam Walker 'could' jump over a league with a strong finish, giving 2012 Beloit.....Buxton, Jimmenez, Pineda & Keplar in the OF.

    Dealing your only 3B reeks of 'cant wait to get rid of him'. Reports have been out on Dannys attitude for yrs. Was suspended in Ft Myers one year.....others have said he wanted MLB respect from the moment he stepped onto Target Field. I listened to every interview he did as a weekly guest w/Patrick Reusse last yr & it was obvious Danny was his own biggest fan. Did nothing the last year and half to try & improve.....just thought he had arrived.

    For me, its the Escobar part of the deal. A marginal defensive minded SS when we already have a AAA version of that in Pedro Florimon. If they woulda recieved 2 pitchers back, I woulda been better. I just didnt want a Nick Punto type back

    wasnt only the Ryan comment to me....just others from him/Paul Molitor/ Gardy last Sept & even Billy Smith.Just never heard positive feedback on him. Could be that the organization doesnt give that out much, but its a vibe I get from hearing about him. After 3 yrs there, how much does he have to prove to earn a re-promotion???

    IF it happens to Aaron (or Hermann/Gibson/etc), you are initially added ONLY to 40 man roster. If he's not sent back to the minors....he doesnt use an option. A Sept callup, of someone just added, doesnt use up 1 of the 3, as its basically a free look at someone. Its what Twins did with Liam Hendriks last Sept. If you're not sent back to minors, a player like Dozier doesnt use an option yr.This is why you only add someone during the year if they are called up from minors. No other reason to do it till offseason......also why you dont add someone to 40 man till you have to (like Dozier this past winter) NOW, you could be worried about service time from Hicks & others....which starts at the callup date. 2 types of service times....free agency & arbitration
