    One thing thats hard to figure out on a board, like this, is sarcasm/fooling around/teasing rather than outright spite. Dont get scared off by the 'experts' as we're all here for the same entertainment....Ive had some pretty arguementive posts with 'experts' but I respect ALL their opinions as Im also very set in mine/but I love different points of view. I can argue/disagree badly with someone on one post & completely agree with them on another. Please dont take things personal as this board is SO far below others as far as attacks IMO. Dont think this site is vicious at all, just very opinionated (which is good). I love the site & rarely go back to the old ones I liked. So many great minds, opinions, stories that Ive never found anywhere.

    diehard: not makin a case for anyone....just throwing out the numbers for a discussion, nothing more Badsmerf: where do you find out of any of those numbers that Levi hits with more power....think Santana is far above him there Pig: not the greatest Michael fan myself, do you think its that big a difference...Michael was only off from mid/late June..not a full yr Rosterman: Twins have a history of protecting High A guys on their way to New Brit, so I dont think its out of line to suggest Santana could be on the 40 man this winter. Team is shaky in highball middle infielders also Both have certain things that make em rate better than the other IMO.... Michaels is mostly bein a #1 pick, better D, plate discipline.... Santana is hitting far more consitently, more XB power, more speed (never been a great basestealer tho) Both mid teen type prospects IMO

    Many people have given Levi the excuse of being in a lg too high for his age (21)....but Santana is 3 months younger than Michael. Some have said its Levi's first yr of pro ball vs Santana's 5th (4th in US & able to be Rule Vd this winter). Both reasons have some validity to em, but I think it should also be a reason to be higher on Santana. Santana 93gms 391AB .284/.322/.399 54runs 14doubles 8triples 5hr 45rbi 63k 20bb 13/23sb Michael 94gms 349AB .241/.333/.309 44runs 10doubles 4triples 2hr 30rbi 68k 44bb 4/4sb Levi has been better since June 1 by far 48gms 178AB .275/.364/.343 25runs 8doubles 2triples 16rbi 30k 20bb 3/3sb Santana has been a lil more consistent posting .750 OPS in 3 of 4 months (june was off month) Defensively Santana 8e in 32gm @ 2B(.947 FP 4.47 RF)....16e in 57gm @ SS(.934 FP 3.95 RF) 2gms in CF also Michael 4e in 49gm @ 2B (.979 FP 4.44 RF).....8e in 51gm @ SS (.966 FP 4.39 RF)

    gonna be hard to judge Buxton totally by his numbers this yr due to his 1-27start I think he's been better than expected (to me anyways) since then.... 14/47 (.298BAA) w/.681 slgg since then in 15gms

    Big slugger had a great July 30gm 113AB .336/.400/.487 17runs 11doubles 2HR 20rbi 21k 10bb Leads the Eastern Lg in RBI w/76 (leads by 9) 3rd in Lg in total bases w/179 5th in slgg w/.481

    The guy is only 22 & having very good success. There are soft tossing guys in the majors who have success (I like Tommy Milone as a guy to compare)....if he wasnt having this type of success at an early age (22), Id be more pesimistic

    again, name me ONE legit pitcher who successfully pitched with the partially torn UCL after rehab & didnt need surgery. Aroldys Vizcaino of ATL was the one mentioned last yr as possibly showing teams how to rehab the UCL as he didnt need surgery. Come 2012 & he did, tear it, missing the whole yr.

    Liam & Chris have passed over rookie status (already this yr) by next winter......we're kind of assuming the season ends today, but another month can raise/lower some of these guys alot. If Parm wouldnt have, his age may hurt him (as it does Benson/Gibson), but his AAA hitting is very intriguing.

    Was thinking about the top 6/8 takin em up the list....agree the 2nd 10 is a lot more unsettling. Im happy with our top 11 actually (include Walker/Hermsen as 10/11).At least on the Twins end, you know more about your top prospects than you did entering the season.

    I have come to hope that BJ equals out to a Tommy Milone of OAK. He's got a 3.68ERA w/average fastball of 87.8 (per fangraphs) BJ is only 22 & gonna be added to 40 man this winter (or lost IMO). Milone dominated High A at age 22, AA @ 23, AAA @ 24 before his MLB debut/dealt to A's. He did have a K/9 of 6 in A/AA but they can be comparable as Hermsens K rate in FTM was 5.8 & he's a younger pitcher in AA than Milone was. BJ finished his 5 July starts with 4W 1L 2.30ERA w/ 31.1IP 29h .236BAA 21k (impoving) 9bb

    see if he can put together a good month of Aug. My opinion is that he will be taken off the 40 man roster to try & get him to take a buyout. Wonder if MN will have him go to AFL for one last chance to impress. Not like any of the middle infielders in New Brit are challenging the ROC players tho

    top 10 is same as mine....different order, no biggie. Some disagreements in 2nd top...again no biggie as I see/hope Adam Walker is a top guy mostly Am I wrong to think MN will be top 10 for team prospects next year

    agree that certain manager/teams style of 'whole season' is good & Twins were able to capitalize on it in a weak decade long division, but he totally is overmatched when it comes to winning ONE certain game or series. Again, comes down to NOT doin everythin you need to win the game. Other things were more important. In a 100 loss season, who cares.....but fans.

    just get ready for TRyan to talk about the Aug waiver trades that can be made......am/was a fan of his the first run, but just think the game 'may' have passed him by. Conservative approach/not lovin youth combo is gonna leave this franchise in ruins

    talked about it in another thread......altho the team always tries to win, there are games that they dont try to win. Tonight was one. Resting Burnett/Burton/Perkins was more important than trying to win the game. Granted it was tied & not a lead but this is the way Gardy thinks. Wish this woulda gone about 15 innings/Blackburn was knocked out in about 2 innings , so gardy really looked like a fool. Hate the way he handles the staff/tho most of that is Rick Anderson....who I like less.
