    Hermann, this wk, passed his games played at New Brit last yr ....compare 2011 97gms 337ABs .258/.380/.392 53runs 14doubles 5triples 7HR 46RBI 68k 64bb 9/12sb 2012 103gms 393ABs .272/.347/.394 76runs 22doubles 1triple 8hr 46rbi 71k 46bb 2/3sb Tied for Eastern Lg lead , with Aaron Hicks, in runs scored w/76 105ABs .324/.385/.419 vs LHP Since June 1st has 32bb 32Ks to show his good eye is stil there. IMO, the only reason he hasnt been promoted (or teammates either) is to reward New Brit.... for re-upping their contract w/MN & try for the playoffs

    didnt bring it up cause it was so obvious (already paying him), but its definately the ONLY reason.Part of the scholarship comment I made. He didnt earn it, just already being payed.

    Missed last inning....Hicks finished 1-5 & Hermann tied him with run scored w/76 and he's also 2nd in Eastern Lg in walks with 61

    Hicks 1-4 w/bb run scored & 3SBs today. Now 5th in Eastern Lg in SB....leads lg in runs scored w/76 (one over Chris Hermann) & is 10th in Lg in OPS

    Typical Benson week. Was 15/47 upon his return to New Brit (.319BA with a .510slgg). Then went into a 2-24 stretch this wk but in true Benson way, 3rd AB today was a grand slam and followed it up w/RBI single & finished it up w/rbi double (only credited it w/one rbi but it was 2nd/3rd & both scored) Still wonder how team views him. When Terry Ryan was asked about him last SUN (?? was about him hitting well), Ryan responded that at age 24, he should be hitting AA pitching well. HUH? Hermann/Collabello/Romero/Tosoni/Hanson/Roof/DeLos Santos are all as old/older than Benson in AA. Did say they expect him to reach AAA this yr (again huh?? reach??)

    With the Twins.....they will probably just activate Mike Hollimon or something like that Burroughs hasnt played for a wk....not sure if there is an injury

    Plouffe could be the player back when they drop from 13-12 pitchers.....tho it sounded like Gardy wanted it done sooner than later (another wk for Trev??)

    The 22 yr old Hermsen & his 84/85mph fastball matched up SUN against last yrs #1 overall pick, 21 yr old Gerritt Cole & his 96/97mph fastball. BJ 6IP 4h 3er 1bb 0k Cole 4.2 IP 3h 2er 2bb 5k.....rock cats scored 5 in bottom of 5th Hermsen left with a 6-3 lead

    4 runs thru 5 innings gives ya a 7.20 ERA. Thats Nick Blackburn in a nutshell. But he's pitching outstanding......per Bert/Smelly

    Romero will be 26 nxt yr & is a 6yr FA. He is a righthanded hitter & having a very solid AA yr. Also think he'll be resigned/40 manned & be the AAA 3B next yr

    Never thought Souchery is a good lead in for Twins as the diehard sports fans waiting for the game turn him off. Would think the Twins would want a more baseball themed show for the preceding couple hrs. Could that be a negotiating tool as Souch has really started to limit his hrs on station over past couple yrs.

    not on 40 man roster...tho Danny's trade opens up a spot. Would think Escobar (playin 3B not SS in AAA) could be the guy also.

    Twins already are at 39guys on 40 man roster w/3 on the 60 day DL. Walters pitched yesterday & is gonna have to come off as will Pavano (pitching 2 innings TUE in GCL).....meaning 2 guys will have to be DFAd for them in a couple wks. Florimon is a 6yr FA after yr, so he needs to be protected or lost. Dont know what the Escobar trade means for him tho. Hicks/Hermann/Hermsen/Gibson are all up for Rule V while DRomero/JPinto are also 6 yr FA's (dont know if they'd be protected, but...)

    acquired today from BOS for Danny Valencia 21 yr old (Nov bday ) switch hitting OF 36gms 56/133 for a . 421/.447/.534 line w/ 9doubles 2triples 22rbi 22k 5bb. 2nd in GLC is .333BAve so its pretty impressive for ANYONE to hit .400 over that stretch. He also leads the GCL in slgg w/.534 & RBI w/22 & is 2nd in SB w/14 (caught 7 times) Hitting .354 (17/48) vs lefties 6doubles triple 8k 2bb Hitting .459 (39/85) vs righties 3doubles 2triples 14k 3bb

    Buxton wont be in ELIZ next yr.....now he may not join Beloit at start of yr, ala Hicks/Revere. Jimmenez/Pineda will both be 22 next yr...they will be in Beloit.
