  1. I think your watch only tells time in hindsight.
  2. Good thing it's a picture of Toews or you'd be getting 5 infraction points for trolling our thread lady! I still threw up a bit in my mouth though.
  3. So, that Trump speech.........wow. Keep on Rockin' in the Free World, lol.
  4. What!? The guy has a career .916 OPS in the minors in over 1800 PA's. So many people are quick to dismiss him this year despite him being injured and having only 57 PA's in AAA, wtf? Arcia has hit at every level he has played at, he needs time to figure it out at the ML level after he gets his groove back in Rochester.
  5. Fair enough but let's not forget we're talking about a 24 year old who has a track record of hitting. If you never had any time for young players who struggled, you probably wouldn't have any left.........and a lot of time on your hands.
  6. As much as I want to see Arcia's good bat (not the one he has right now) in the Twins lineup and have him work on his main issues at the ML level, I think more time in the minors might just be a good thing to make him realize what it takes to earn a call up and then stay up. A call up now would just seem like a free pass, like he's entitled to it.
  7. Unless their names are Doug Mevin?
  8. http://anticache.img0.joyreactor.com/pics/post/funny-pictures-auto-poorly-drawn-lines-sign-376952.jpeg
  9. Saves small child falling from upper deck after stealing 3rd. Rescues family floating down the Blanco river after their house was washed away during a flash flood, during the 7th inning stretch. In post game ceremony is unanimously elected for induction into the HOF , for having the greatest single game of baseball ever played.
  10. Wait, aren't you a Twins Daily poster? I suggest waiting until he at least plays at Target Field before deciding.
  11. I keep muttering it so that's how it came out.
  12. Shortstops in the outfield....sounds like a movie title.
  13. Only if nobody's around.
  14. So it was Duensing's fault then! Duensing......sigh. So is the new question, "What if Byron Buxton makes an error that later gets changed by the scorekeeper"?
  15. I know, I was joking. Point is he plays on a team that doesn't have what most consider to be a can't miss star behind him and also hits well enough to play a corner spot. I just don't believe HIcks will ever do that and with the others in the system that likely can, he won't get much of a chance.
  16. Said what, that he'd never play ahead of Byron Buxton? Cain still plays CF, let's face it, is that really Hick's future with the Twins? Very doubtful. I don't think he'll ever hit well enough to justify being a starting corner OF.
  17. Find me the part where I said the Twins have a bad Fo? You won't because I don't think they do. You're just arguing semantics, they get paid to make decisions that are in the best interest of the ball club, the poster I was quoting was referring to the difficulty in deciding "which" players to possibly trade and that it is a tough thing to decide. I agree but you can't sit around wringing your hands about such things and never end up doing something. I'm not suggesting the Twins are doing that, merely pointing out that such decisions ultimately have to be made sometimes.
  18. The FO gets paid a lot of money to make hard decisions, you can't paralyze yourselves by being afraid to make the wrong one if a benefit comes from it at present.
  19. Why can't a proper rebuild involve getting major league players in exchange for probably redundant prospects?
  20. I think the scorekeeper will mark it E8.
  21. Well if you're saying it's not worth Sano and or Buxton then we agree. I wouldn't do that either but I'd certainly explore a host of other options, maybe none would do it, oh well
