  1. Thanks again Nick! for some resemblance of baseball while we wait. It`s amazing how ex Twins always jump up bite us
  2. As a Twin fan, like was mentioned, you gotta love if they continued the universal DH. Because it`d create a large market for our surplus of DH canidates.
  3. Great line up! Buxton is comfortable at 9th but he hasn`t tapped into his full potential yet, w/ a healthy year & some good at bats he could open up some eyes w/ his bat not only his glove. If Rosario is true to his word he could be more consistant by being more discipline at the plate & could move up the line up. Garver will be great but due to his position I`d give him more rest by batting him 8th
  4. Thank you for that spark of encouragement!
  5. I don`t want to sound insensitive but Hottovy only mentioned the emotional suffering he went through being separated from his wife. I`ve been away from my wife for months at a time, shortly after we got married & even worse after the birth of our daughter, I was separated for months. That was hard times & I can relate to what he went through but we got through them & grew from it & appreciate each other that much more. Life is never easy, that`s how we grow. Hottovy didn`t enlightened us with the physical consequence of covid 19 so we can`t really evaluate that aspect of his story although many assume the worse.
  6. TB starting Balazovic, Yarbrough or even Morton before Chirinos doesn`t make sense. Looks like Chirinos had a better season but maybe there is some underlining situation that I don`t see
  7. With so much uncertainty & so much of the season left after the deadline, I doubt anyone will take on yesteryear salary . But who knows if someone is desperate enough at that time. IMO there will be a fire sale on FA this off season
  8. Oddo has pitched 192 innings this year which is by far the most he has ever pitched so I assume according to history his tank is near empty. So I`d go w/ Wood especially being left handed, pitched fewer innings & his efficiency, I`d bring in Oddo later if the situation calls for it. Berrios would come in fully rested for game 5 if need be. The next series Oddo could deservingly start a game
  9. My understanding is players can be added to the 60 man pool. Hopefully at least Balazovic will be added after the others have been reevaluated
  10. The Bomba Squad has been under rated & has shown up in the virtual game, they believe that they were a fluke. I don`t know how pitching will pan out in reality but Twins hitting are for real & will show up this season
  11. I too don`t think that anything big will materialize at deadline, at least for the Twins. IMO where our greatest need is at impact pitching, I believe anyone w/ impact pitching will be in the hunt for a position in post season. Therefore I don`t see anything will be available. It`s hard to figure out if CLE will or can trade Lindor in this crazy season. We`ll have to see
  12. I`d rather, for this year only, to have the game as a tie ( like hockey)& leave it as it is, that`d cut down on innings played more
  13. W/ all the bitter taste I`ve had in my mouth since March, I`m happy that it`s finally starting. & that things will be better now that baseball will start than if it had not. I haven`t been following football, basketball or hockey, my question is, are these contact, primarily indoor sports been under the same assault as baseball? just curious
  14. Last year we really capitalized on CLE early problems, hopefully this year we can again start strong & fight off CLE for the title. Things are shaping up nicely
  15. Thank you, Nick for giving us some baseball excitement while we have been put on hold! I`d go w/ the piggy back idea & I`d reward Odo over Blake because he`s earned it over the years & if Odo has been consistent I most definitely would. Also I`m happy that Romero has been contributing very nicely & that NYY & HOU are out! I wouldn`t put too much stress on yourself, even though it`d be nice to defend our title, you still got us in the Play-offs
  16. Thanks, I was totally against this idea but this makes it more plausible but should all of this not count except only on the scoreboard? Good question. W/ all the stress having a man on 2nd there should be something counted
  17. I`d say that`s pretty close
  18. I read the data about youth getting hospitalized but no where did I see that these youth were healthy or low risk. I think that when we see the category "youth" we tend to think healthy but now days, in many cases, it`s far from the truth. I know many 50, 60 & even 70 yrs. olds who are healthier than majority of the youth
  19. I mean all baseball for right now. Finding out now that it is opened up, testing needs to be done immediately so all positive tests can quarantined. That all can be kosher when preseason 2.0 start up again. I`d also like to see stadium also opened w/ limits. If that can happen, I`d hope that the agreement could be mutually beneficial (owners, players & fans) to expand the # of days played
  20. 1st looking at this news about so many cases of covid coming into spring training brought fear & great disappointment & then I thought about it. I see possible 3 scenarios, 1st the players came into camp w/ it, 2nd they caught it at camp (which I believe is our 1st reaction due to irresponsibility of the club) the 3rd I don`t want to go there. After I thought about it the 1st scenario seemed the most plausible. I`m sure the players were tested 1st thing when they arrived under sterile conditions so it means that they entered camp w/ it. That means w/ such a small sample size & so many players & coaches testing positive that a high % of players & coaches have covid. W/ rise in mandatory testing in many places, we are seeing a spike in the # of cases is because so many people have it across the country & don`t know they have it. The point is if so many people that are tested already have the virus why not open everything up while protecting our high risk loved ones
  21. I think it really hurts also looking at Pineda waiting even longer. But IMO it will hurt even more if we don`t have a season.
  22. I assume Big Mike will not come back that quickly. Come around PS, I see him piggy backing at best or BP. Especially if his suspension isn`t discounted
  23. What I`ve stated before & didn`t just prior is that no one at risk should be forced to play. I believe like Kyle Gibson could be at risk, I`d hate to see him come down seriously w/ this
