  1. I saw three water polo games at the same time once. So I know that you can indeed count water polo.
  2. I'm sorry... I just thought of a better response. Take 2 He is struggling and I remember there was a stretch where I was struggling against my 3 year old son. I think that's better.
  3. Yeah but he costs less. Jeffers came out of the free struggle box. Vazquez we had to go to the store and purchase those struggles.
  4. Jeffers is 200 points higher than Vazquez. I was once 200 points higher in a game of 1 on 1 basketball against my 3 year old son. My son couldn't throw the ball enough to reach the 10 foot rims and he needed work on his defense.
  5. The CDC goes on to say that it's best if someone has a birthday right after you go to the bathroom.
  6. According to the CDC. You are supposed to wash your hands and sing happy birthday twice. Perhaps nobody had a birthday last week.
  7. We have five pure left handed hitters on the 26 man. All 5 are in the lineup against Right Hander Colin Rea. Including 3 in a row in the 5,6 and 7 spots in the order. The Brewers have one left handed reliever and he was used last night for 11 pitches and is probably available today. 5,6 7 in the order is probably when Hoby Milner gets deployed. Brewers starter Colin Rea has faced 892 Major League Plate Appearances over his career. His Career Splits: RHB - 450 PA - .258/.322/.448 LHB - 442 PA - .245/.324/.402 In 2023: RHB - 121 PA - .234/.298/.323 LHB - 98 PA - .233/.320/.454 Max Kepler is currently hitting .203/.275/.390 against right handed pitchers. As long as what side of the box is facing what hand matters more than how the batter actually does. I think we will see more of Max Kepler. Rocco has been pretty consistent and therefore has been pretty predictable. On the other hand... we are going to get hit with two lefty starters back to back when Detroit comes to town so perhaps Max will not start those games and therefore plays today to avoid 4 straight games on the bench. Either way... Yep... Farmer, Castro and Lewis all with OPS over .719 against right handers are watching Kepler bat with an OPS of .665 against right handers. At least we will be ready for Hoby Milner. We got a stack of right handers ready for him.
  8. And therefore Miranda is in AAA and not a problem. Being too left handed in the OF is only a problem if it means that Kepler plays against them without consideration of how he plays against them. Buxton at DH... that's a problem. I agree.
  9. Miranda would be in Durham right now. If Miranda gets called up and started hitting the ball... they would make room.
  10. The Rays wouldn't think Miranda was a problem. I honestly don't understand why others can only see Lewis plays 3B and nothing beyond that. When beyond that constantly comes into play every single month of every single year. The Rays would incorporate Miranda into the mix if everyone is healthy. The Rays do not feel like they have to reduce to 9 when they have 13. They would utilize all 13 and win a few baseball games along the way. Miranda can also play 1B, Lewis can also play SS and OF, Kirilloff can also play OF. If you have 13 players getting the job done... nobody has to rust. There is plenty of playing time for everyone. Actually... if you have 13 players getting the job done. You have 13 players with increased value and therefore 13 players who you could trade for improvements if you are weak somewhere. Miranda is not a problem unless you are only looking for 9. And if you are only looking for 9 that is how you end up suffering through Max Kepler. Because he is one of those 9.
  11. IMO... Picking up his option next year is a no brainer. Polanco is not Kepler... Not even close. This team needs offense and Polanco provides offense and has pretty consistently over the years. Kepler has not provided offense over the years. I understand that Julien looks good, I understand that Lee and Martin and Miranda are waiting in the wings at the moment but I have said this many many many times and I will say it many many many times in the future. It's Ok to have multiple players on the roster who can perform even if they play the same position. There is plenty of playing time for anyone who is performing. We don't need to start throwing players away. You cull from the bottom not from the top. Now if... someone offers an incredible trade that makes the team even better... OK. But we certainly shouldn't be the team looking for the exit sign.
  12. It wasn't lost on me. And if I can tack on some more context. Home Run by a guy who wasn't supposed to be a big offensive contributor. Walk by a rookie Solid single by a player who normally wouldn't play if everyone was healthy. Home run by a guy who is severely underpaid.
  13. No he can't... but he can roll out of bed and do it before his feet hit the floor while still in his pajama's.
  14. I had fun. Hope to be around more. It was a toe dip. The water was warm.
  15. I think you are right. He needs the SB there in the situation. Castro has demonstrated the ability to do that... Julien has not. Honestly... I probably wouldn't have done it. I've been conditioned to not think about the stolen base with the Twins so I'm thinking first to home speed. I would have been wrong. It was the right move. It took guts but it was the right move.
  16. I wouldn't have pinch hit Kepler for Lewis. Lewis has been kinda clutch in his short time while Kepler has been kinda Kepler in his long time. Payamps has severe reverse splits. But Kepler walked so... the line kept moving... So hats of to Rocco and Kep. I also wouldn't have pinch run Castro for Julien because Julien is plenty fast. Asking Castro to steal when everybody in the world knew he was going to steal seemed a big ask. Rocco asked that... Castro did it. That was a huge moment in the game. Hats off to Rocco, Castro, Solano, Julien and Correa. and Winder. And I'd like to thank the academy. my manager... everyone who helped.
  17. He just pinch ran Castro for Julien? He better steal then... because Julien can go first to third.
