  1. I'm not watching on TV are these challenges the guardians keep winning as annoying on TV as they are on gamecast?
  2. I'm guessing Milwaukee and LAD in the top 2? Who do they have 3rd?
  3. Well we either win in extras or get walked-off by Cleveland History is pointing us in a direction I don't care for.
  4. I saw a top 100 list yesterday (not one of the big familiar websites) that had Jhomnardo Reyes in the top 100. Obviously that's not consensus, but I've got more reason to pay attention to FCL box scores now. Based on his numbers, I'd guess he gets bumped up to Low A once the FCL season ends.
  5. Maybe the Twins can have an immaculate inning where they get all hits and zero outs.
  6. If you ever develop mild to moderate Plaque Psoriasis, TwinsTV has you covered for your mediation options.
  7. Wait... teams are allowed to just STEAL second base?
  8. For the record, we have a higher OPS in day games and only a slightly worse record.
  9. I'm not sure man. This looks aggressively average. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/gorema01.shtml I feel like the idea of MacKenzie Gore has always been much more than actual MacKenzie Gore
  10. The top 10 of that draft was pretty rough. Hunter Greene went 2nd and has looked good for a couple years, but just made his 2026 debut a couple weeks ago after being out with elbow issues. Mackenzie Gore went 3rd and has been basically a #4 starter since he got to the majors. Other than that... lots of whiffs
  11. Unless you're the 2026 Cleveland Guardians and you've only used 5 SP all year, which is truly insane.
  12. 5% overage is allowed, but there is a 75% tax on all of those dollars spent, So, the Twins could've spent around $850k above their pool money on draft picks, but it would have cost them and additional $640k to do so. Going beyond the 5% puts you into draft pick penalties which a) is crazy, and b) no team has ever done.
  13. Really big game today. Turning this into a 3-4 road trip going through Chicago and Cleveland would be huge. It claws back a lot of that All-Star break momentum we had lost as of 24 hours ago. And with a couple lower tier teams coming to Target field, it give us a real chance to get all of those good vibes back over the next week.
  14. Not to belabor the frustration of not maxing out the bonus pool all the way to where the penalties switch from financial to draft penalties, but it's just so short sighted. You've got a mechanism that gives you a long term ROI of 2.5x (I'm making up numbers here) and every year you're told how much you can spend and get that 2.5x return. Then they say... "well, we'll let you spend a bit more, but you can only get a 1.75x long term return on that investment" and the Twins are always just.... "nah, we're good"
  15. I think it's fair to have Jenkins above Lackey in the rankings, but if someone forced me to pick one to keep in our system, I'd pick Lackey. I think the upside of having a plus defensive catcher with good offense is just more exciting (and useful) than the upside of having a good defensive OF with great offense.
  16. I saw a midesason update (can't remember which one) that had the Twins 5th
  17. The advantage of trading Ryan in the offseason and taking the PR hit then is: a) football will be distracting the casuals b) more importantly, they might more easily be able to make a move that makes losing Ryan hurt less. Maybe it’s an extension, maybe it’s a trade, maybe it’s signing a FA. “Pairing” a Ryan trade with any of those is easier in the offseason.
  18. The timing of a potential 10 day IL stint for Caratini is actually perfect with the trade deadline and shouldn’t have any effect on a Jeffers trade. As one of the few “Jeffers QO truthers” here, I take no pleasure in that though.
  19. Absolute gold here at the end of the thread where we have a guy ribbing someone for not understanding sarcasm while simultaneously missing the most obvious sarcasm of all time.
  20. I agree with all of this. I think some people might push back on the Duran one, but I wouldn't. The rest of them it's pretty difficult to argue weren't at least neutral, and very likely advantage Twins.
  21. Far be it from me to defend Zoll but what trades from last trade deadline would you undo right now if you could? Also, I think Falvey was the one making the final decision on those.
