  1. Yeah. I bet that’s what happened. They thought to themselves “we’re good. We don’t need to try any more”
  2. I’m not here to tell you that Morris pitched great, but I bet the expected BA for the Phillies in that inning was quite low
  3. Bohm got out on the 3rd pitch. Every other batter has had a 2-1 count though.
  4. The announcers can see pitch count right? Nola at 70 pitches through 3-2/3, and they’re talking about how deep in the game he’s going
  5. Brandon Marsh… really likable dude, but man, that hair!
  6. 10 out of our last 13 games giving up a first inning run.
  7. We’re at the point of this 2026 sample size where if he goes 3 for 3 in his next game he’ll have an above average BA and OBP In other words… the sample size is non-existent Brian Dozier had 300+ AB in 2012, good for a .603 OPS and a 67 OPS+
  8. Do we know yet what crew (and home plate ump specifically) we have for this game. I'd be curious to know if MLB purposely assigned a highly rated home plate ump because of the lack of access to ABS challenges.
  9. I'm curious how you're saying that with confidence based on this games played per season being: 2021 - 37 games 2022 - 47 games 2023 - 99 games 2024 - 47 games 2025 - 65 games Obviously games played does not equal days on active rosters, but it's much easier to look up and it should be RELATIVELY close.
  10. There's much more to it than just 2026. He needs 5 years (or more) of 90+ days on active rosters. So, yes, 2026 will likely count as one of those, but he has several other years that seemingly fall short of that.
  11. I'm on the same page as you regarding the 4th year. As you note, Gleeman has addressed it, only so far as saying "I've been told he's not eligible." I'd love it explained to me WHY he's not eligible, because it sure seems like he should be. My guess is that Spring training days on the active roster counts towards the annual 90-day threshold, but I'd like to get that confirmed.
  12. Not strictly true. They could theoretically pass the 130 AB threshold, even if they don't pass the 45-days threshold.
  13. Probably Banuelos, i suppose. Not saying that's good, but that would be my guess.
  14. I was giving him another chance after he created a new account (I had muted his previous one), but I just can't. It's better to mute him than continually engage. I now have two muted accounts and they are both the same person.
  15. Will backup catchers be available in the offseason? Certainly. But maybe they view him as an above average 2nd catcher and for something like $2M, that allows them to spend on other areas of the team.
  16. It has nothing to do with him being the 3rd catcher and everything to do with being the 2nd catcher in 2027. You can argue how wise that is, but it's almost certainly the reason why he's on the 26 man roster,
  17. With the run given up in the 1st inning today, Twins starters have allowed a 1st inning run in 9 of their last 12 games.
  18. Yes fellas... the Twins have no plan. Just flying by the seat of their pants, day to day. Think about how little sense that makes. Just because you can't see the plan, aren't being told the plan, or disagree with the plan, doesn't mean there isn't a plan.
  19. Our disconnect here is that you are treating the Jenkins conversation as "he should have been here a couple weeks ago" and I'm treating the Jenkins callup as an ever-changing discussion. It didn't make any sense to call up Jenkins when Culpepper was called up because over the next 4 games we faced 3 lefty SP and The Miz. That's a PERFECT time to call up Culpepper, but basically the worst possible time to call up Jenkins. So they didn't. If Jenkins had already been in the majors for a few weeks and we hit that yes stretch, then yes, I'd want him playing probably 3 of those 4 games, but in the moment last Thursday, it didn't make any sense to call him up. How about now? Yeah. Call up him. Absolutely. He's just as ready as he was before. He seems Healthy. And 3 of the next 4 SP we face are righties.
  20. I think this is a recency bias of us facing lefty SP in 3 of the last 4. Martin starts against lefties. We've just faced a lot of lefties in the last week+. He only got 43 PA in July (and had a .422 OBP by the way) I believe we face 1 lefty in the next 5. I expect Martin to start that game and none of the others.
