    Great win good to see a healthy Dyson and man Romo is just a competitor still feel need to possibly bring up one of the hard throwing kids Alcala or Gaterol for the final push. Duffy and Harper have done good up until this point just feel that teams have caught onto the junk pitches and unfortunately May is to inconsistent to put out there in Sept high leverage situations. Great win momentum builder but in playoffs or sept it all comes down to late innings.

    I know that trades don’t normally happen till very end of deadline but man the deadline is coming fast and I keep having this awful feeling Romo might be our only get Hope I am wrong but we will see.

    You said it the head to head will go along ways and having those late season games against the tribe at home will make a huge difference!

    I know this loss hurts but in the overall picture Twins are sitting 22 games over .500 if my South Dakota math is correct. Who would have predicted that at this point in the season this past winter! Hopefully they pick up a few more arms for the pen and continue to beat up on sub .500 teams in Aug when Cleveland plays the tougher schedule. I know it’s down to a game but I hope and predict by 1 sept it maybe 6 or 7 game lead. Just get more bullpen help ASAP!!

    My gut is telling me with the past history of Lavine working for Texas it may end up being twins trading for Leclerc and Minor which wouldn’t be terrible and might not cost them the farm. I could be totally off but we will see either way the longer they wait the more desperate Twins might end up being to make a deal which to me is no good. If the deals are on the table now just make them and make a legitimate strike at the postseason and World Series this year. Never know what next season will be so stop worrying about prospects that may or may not work out.

    Any word on Buxton or if they have DFA”d Cave yet after last nights performance. Hopefully it’s Eddie in LF Max in CF and Gonzo in RF can’t let any of these games slip away again CWS.

    This is something that needs to be addressed as well. The starters have to have to get into the 7th inning with this bullpen short start by Gibby and others with a lead against good teams can’t happen and will hurt this team moving forward. I was talking to a friend during the game and is it me or is Gibson the most frustrating person to watch pitch?!? Big lead and he’s trying to nibble at the corners instead of just challenging hitters walks kill. This is not was cost them the game just frustrating to watch. IMO

    I understand that it takes two to tango as they say. All i hope is that the FO doesnt play it to close to their vest and hold out to long and end up with nothing. Ownership claims they will spend if need to but I just am skeptical on that time will only tell.

    So 8 days from the deadline am I the only one here thinking they are going to try and wait out the market too long and end up getting no help when it’s all said and done? I am really surprised they haven’t at least brought in a reliever by this point wonder how much longer the FO keeps the clubhouse at bay if they don’t make upgrades to the pen? I hope they don’t see Thorpe as their “upgrade” and just roll with that.

    I really hope Twins act soon before they find themselves in a “Arms” race with Boston and NY and I don’t think the FO / owners will win the race. I may be wrong, but either way Rogers can’t keep pitching 2 innings a night for remainder of season and have anything left in tank for playoffs if they make it!

    So long time twins fan from North Dakota now living in Utah and first time commenter but long time reader of these forum and love it! The thing that has scared me about this team all year and it still scares me is the inability or unwillingness to play for 1 run when the situation calls for it. I love the 3 run homer but those come and go to make it through the second half of the season when teams are chasing you down I just feel you are going to have to find ways to score first and if that means giving up an out for a run then so be it I hope Rocco starts to implore some of the Tampa way of playing second half of season otherwise we may live or die by the bomba and lately I feel it maybe die. Just my thoughts still think this is a solid team that can go a long ways and have surpassed my wildest expectations!
