  1. Safe to say it comes down to pitching like normal, and if Paddock can go 6/7 innings it will get team on right start and keep bullpen fresh coming off the off day. You follow him up with two guys throwing the ball very well so hopefully he can set the tone early for the Twins
  2. Very good break down. As you said a lot of ?? , but a lot to be optimistic about as well
  3. I guess that’s where people can differ and debate, and what’s makes it fun. My feeling is they can field like all stars, but if you can’t pitch it won’t matter but again only my opinion and only time will tell.
  4. Again you are not answering the point about how do you obtain good starting pitching ?? Just asking the stystem” has produced who besides Berrios that’s proven…… I’ll wait ……
  5. Give me a break we are not trotting Ty Wignham out there lol!!!! You all act like after Kepler it’s a bunch of weekend softball drunk players like ourselves on the 40 man roster Cave is gone lol…. Pitching wins, always has and starting pitching always wins….. unfortunately the team we love hasn’t addressed that in forever and when it comes to fixing it people act like it just “magically” happens…. You have to give to get is all I’ve said and if you want a quality arm it will take a quality piece to get it. Just an old weekend drunk softball 40 somethings opinion.
  6. And doesn’t matter who’s in the outfield when the ball is flying over the fence for the other team.
  7. Cause they have no good starting pitching…. Best one they had is in Toronto.
  8. Or as I said before Kepler. I just read they were willing to trade 2 pitchers Weathers and Paddock for Reynolds from Pitt, but Pitt said no so Kepler, or Rooker or Miranda and for one….. I know Reynolds is a right handed bat but they must need outfielders
  9. So Hosmer or Sano at first I know most of time they want AK to play there as well but…..
  10. Mike here is what they have listed right now Darvish Musgrove Mike Clevinger Nick Martinez Blake Snell Chris Paddack MacKenzie Gore Ryan Weathers plus Meanea my math isn’t the best but that’s 9 for a 5 man rotation so something has to be in the works for them not saying it’s the Twins they will trade with but it’s safe to say Twins would take any of these guys
  11. I get it but if you want quality arms you’re going to have to give up something so who is it. He’s under control I get it but that’s what a team wants if they are going to give up a starter… I mean if they are willing to take a Rooker or AA player by all means but I think it’s going to take more to get a quality arm
  12. I agree with Mike I really think a trade or release of Sanchez is coming
  13. Are we all in agreement that Eddie's on the way out. His antics and lack of producing in clutch moments and sometimes totally worrying about only Eddie has ran it's course...... or just could be me lol... is he still under contract for 2021 or RFA????
  14. Joey as I watched these past two games I was thinking the same thing that there needs to be some change to the "core" players. They have tried tough love with this group "Gardy" they have tried " New School approach" with Rocco and neither has seemed to trigger that edge that is needed in pressure situations. I agree with NDTwins Fan a rebuild will be tough to stomach but a retool is needed. Keep JD, Buck, Luis, and Sano and Cruz if he wants but man his body language in dugout seemed like he was over it hope I'm wrong. Lewis, and Rooker, and Kiroloff need to see what is up and if they are the next group to possibly move this team forward cause this current group has been giving plenty of opportunities to do so and unfortunately seems to not be working.
  15. I know that trades don’t normally happen till very end of deadline but man the deadline is coming fast and I keep having this awful feeling Romo might be our only get Hope I am wrong but we will see.
  16. My gut is telling me with the past history of Lavine working for Texas it may end up being twins trading for Leclerc and Minor which wouldn’t be terrible and might not cost them the farm. I could be totally off but we will see either way the longer they wait the more desperate Twins might end up being to make a deal which to me is no good. If the deals are on the table now just make them and make a legitimate strike at the postseason and World Series this year. Never know what next season will be so stop worrying about prospects that may or may not work out.
  17. As long as they get some type of help I keep fearing they are going to wait to long and end up with nothing
  18. I understand that it takes two to tango as they say. All i hope is that the FO doesnt play it to close to their vest and hold out to long and end up with nothing. Ownership claims they will spend if need to but I just am skeptical on that time will only tell.
  19. So 8 days from the deadline am I the only one here thinking they are going to try and wait out the market too long and end up getting no help when it’s all said and done? I am really surprised they haven’t at least brought in a reliever by this point wonder how much longer the FO keeps the clubhouse at bay if they don’t make upgrades to the pen? I hope they don’t see Thorpe as their “upgrade” and just roll with that.
  20. So long time twins fan from North Dakota now living in Utah and first time commenter but long time reader of these forum and love it! The thing that has scared me about this team all year and it still scares me is the inability or unwillingness to play for 1 run when the situation calls for it. I love the 3 run homer but those come and go to make it through the second half of the season when teams are chasing you down I just feel you are going to have to find ways to score first and if that means giving up an out for a run then so be it I hope Rocco starts to implore some of the Tampa way of playing second half of season otherwise we may live or die by the bomba and lately I feel it maybe die. Just my thoughts still think this is a solid team that can go a long ways and have surpassed my wildest expectations!
