  1. I don't get how you, or anyone, can say the Twins should be major players in free agency and actually believe it. The Twins have never been major players in free agency, like ever.
  2. Right. Perez played with fire at numerous times last night, and the Brewers lineup is pretty darn good. 6 K and 14 GB outs is pretty good stuff though from Perez.
  3. I remember last year, watching Hader absolutely destroy Twins hitters with fastballs center cut and they couldn't touch it. Not even a sniff.
  4. Are we sure Scottie Ullger didn't take over coaching 3rd base in that 9th inning?
  5. He ran him out there with his pitch count rising, but then pulled him last week against the Marlins when his pitch count was in much better position and he was dominating. Perplexing management of the bullpen/staff.
  6. This wasn't really an article worth writing. Cave isn't a very good major league baseball player, I don't care what he did last year. He isn't very good. His defense has been atrocious in the outfield, and if you aren't hitting, you need to at least provide something in the way of defense. He has done and is doing neither. At this point, the Twins need to roll with Rosario/Kepler/Gonzalez in the outfield, Sano at 3rd base, and Cron at 1st base. Sprinkle in Sano at 1st every now and then, but other than that, Cave should not be seeing the field on a regular basis.
  7. Yeah, I didn't know the exact numbers but just from watching him over the years with the Blue Jays, and how often those guys would destroy the Twins and hit absolute nukes, it was a given.
  8. Different jersey & team, but I still fully expect Josh Donaldson to continue owning the Twins this week.
  9. I could totally see the Twins opting to deal Rosario this off-season for a controllable arm - seems like maybe that is why the FO decided to hang onto guys like Larnsach, etc. at this year's trade deadline.
  10. I really wish the Twins would just cut bait with Cave and fill his 40 man with someone else. We have seen enough of Cave, and what he is (isn't) capable of here at the ML level.
  11. Another thing to note - Dyson benefited greatly from some strike calls by Cowboy Joe that were clearly not in the strike zone.
  12. Pretty neat that the new guy has already had an impact on this baseball team, and he has only played in one game.
  13. Less than 3 hours left. Good thing I have the afternoon off from work.
  14. Right. The Twins have the opportunity to improve in areas of need by trading from areas of strength.
  15. Right. The window is open. The opportunity is now. Take advantage of guys like Cruz, Kepler, Sano, Buxton, Garver, etc. all having good to great seasons. You aren't guaranteed this.
  16. With so many doubts surrounding the pitching staff in 2020? I like the optimism!
  17. They failed to improve the bullpen during the winter, and up until this point, they have failed to improve the bullpen this season. They knew it was an issue and weakness of this team, and it has shown. So for about the last 9 months, it has been quite obvious what they needed to improve. They have yet to do so, besides the Romo trade.
  18. Right. There is no guarantee that the Twins will ever have a season, up until this point, like this one again. There is a reason why they are setting all sorts of team and baseball records with their offense. You don't punt until next season when you have nearly nothing set in stone as far as your pitching goes. This front office has said that when the window opened, they would pounce. Well, the window is open. Wide open. If they fail to do so, they will have fleeced all of us.
