Hm, I haven't seen anything definitive. The reason I ask is because it was a rather popular topic of discussion when Polanco did it last week, and Baldelli was asked about it in the post game and was quite adamant that he did not call for that (Polanco did it on his own) and would never really think of calling for a bunt in that situation (the two situations were exactly the same, 1st and 2nd, 0 out, but maybe an inning earlier this time).

Looking at it more, yeah, that is too much. Obviously teams think their own pieces/players are worth more than they actually are, which is probably where this comes from; especially since both of those guys would be rentals.

A little late to the party, maybe, on this...but looking around the internet, I came across a SF Giants website that was putting together trade proposals with contenders, etc. Here are some of their proposed deals... To Twins: LHP Will Smith To Giants: SS Wander Javier, RHP Jhoan Duran, 1B/OF Brent Rooker To Twins: LHP Madison Bumgarner, RHP Nick Vincent To Giants: RHP Brusdar Graterol, 2B Yunior Severino, C Ryan Jeffers IMO, that is way too much for Will Smith and probably an okay price for Bumgarner & Vincent...? Thoughts?

Can we all agree that getting Bumgarner would be worth it just for the clubhouse celebration/beer drinking after the Twins win the World Series?

Oh, this definitely passes the "eye test" as well. Stats are a good way to just quantify this.

Particularly in one AB that I recall, he was missing low 90's fastballs...badly. Like, it wasn't like he was facing Chapman or Hicks or anyone that was throwing upper 90's. He just had no absolute idea at the plate last night.

And he struggled against fastballs in the zone - like, couldn't even make contact struggled.

He, like a lot of Twins hitters last night, chased a ton of balls outside of the K zone last night. Granted, that strike zone last night was brutal according to the FSN K zone.

Without looking too much into it, wouldn't this be similar to the Twins moving Pressly last season? A damn good reliever that is under team control...you would think it would require a similar package, right?

Harper, Duffey, May, and Rogers were all available last night and hadn't been used much over the last few days. Those guys, right now, are all better options than Parker IMO. Just because someone has experience in high leverage situations doesn't mean they are the right person to go with.

Using Blake Parker is questionable in general, but using him in high leverage situations (like last night's game, down 1-0 in the 9th) is unjustifiable IMO. The guy isn't good, and it again showed last night.
