    Plus, usually throwing errors are related to poor footwork. I don't think Polanco has shown to have poor footwork as of late, so it makes you wonder.

    Didn't Polanco have a shoulder injury/issue in the past? Not necessarily this year, but sometime recently? Could his recent throwing errors be injury related? His throwing motion is just not fluid. It isn't good. I just wonder if maybe there is an underlying issue that is being kept under wraps right now.

    You could see, in the video, that Watkins said something to him and Cave took it as an "oh crap, my bad" moment. He even patted himself on the chest to signal that. I think Watkins told him what had happened, why the Rangers may be pissed, and what may happen to Kepler. Still, stupid. A guy shouldn't have to worry about swinging 3-0 no matter the score. These unwritten rules are so outlandish and stupid. Down with them.

    Cron hasn't exactly been a wizard over there lately as well - makes you appreciate what Joe Mauer did over the years at 1st with poor throws.

    I don't get how you, or anyone, can say the Twins should be major players in free agency and actually believe it. The Twins have never been major players in free agency, like ever.

    Right. Perez played with fire at numerous times last night, and the Brewers lineup is pretty darn good. 6 K and 14 GB outs is pretty good stuff though from Perez.

    I remember last year, watching Hader absolutely destroy Twins hitters with fastballs center cut and they couldn't touch it. Not even a sniff.

    Are we sure Scottie Ullger didn't take over coaching 3rd base in that 9th inning?

    Gibson's performance was even worse in person. He was awful last night.

    You don't even think of cutting Schoop loose or DFA'ing him.

    He ran him out there with his pitch count rising, but then pulled him last week against the Marlins when his pitch count was in much better position and he was dominating. Perplexing management of the bullpen/staff.

    This wasn't really an article worth writing. Cave isn't a very good major league baseball player, I don't care what he did last year. He isn't very good. His defense has been atrocious in the outfield, and if you aren't hitting, you need to at least provide something in the way of defense. He has done and is doing neither. At this point, the Twins need to roll with Rosario/Kepler/Gonzalez in the outfield, Sano at 3rd base, and Cron at 1st base. Sprinkle in Sano at 1st every now and then, but other than that, Cave should not be seeing the field on a regular basis.

    Yeah, I didn't know the exact numbers but just from watching him over the years with the Blue Jays, and how often those guys would destroy the Twins and hit absolute nukes, it was a given.

    Different jersey & team, but I still fully expect Josh Donaldson to continue owning the Twins this week.

    I could totally see the Twins opting to deal Rosario this off-season for a controllable arm - seems like maybe that is why the FO decided to hang onto guys like Larnsach, etc. at this year's trade deadline.

    I really wish the Twins would just cut bait with Cave and fill his 40 man with someone else. We have seen enough of Cave, and what he is (isn't) capable of here at the ML level.

    Another thing to note - Dyson benefited greatly from some strike calls by Cowboy Joe that were clearly not in the strike zone.

    Dyson stunk, again...but my concern is Perez. He was terrible last night.

    Pretty neat that the new guy has already had an impact on this baseball team, and he has only played in one game.

    Right. The Twins have the opportunity to improve in areas of need by trading from areas of strength.
