  1. Nothing says shutdown reliever like a four-pitch walk to the first batter, then a wild pitch.
  2. The Twins might be better Ten Years After this season.
  3. The Twins might be better Ten Years After this season.
  4. The ESPN write-up is this: "The Twins ranked low last year, and I'll repeat what I said then: The team itself is probably better than this ranking, but there isn't a lot of glitz and glamour here. No big star (Carlos Correa's shine has dulled and Byron Buxton really never got there in the first place), no big masher, no speedster on the bases or must-see ace on the mound. The youth score will go up if Emmanuel Rodriguez and Luke Keaschall get called up -- which might be the case given the early struggles of the offense."
  5. FWIW, ESPN ranks the Twins 27th in MLB in terms of "watchability." Seems too high. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/44629277/mlb-2025-rankings-most-fun-teams-watch-dodgers-red-sox-phillies-cubs-padres
  6. A walk and a HBP. This qualifies as a rally.
  7. Royals were hoping to get a tax to pay for a new stadium but the voters rejected the plan: https://apnews.com/article/chiefs-royals-kansas-city-stadiums-e9605296b85e91699441e4ba10e83212
  8. Not sure why Julien went into home head first, or whatever you call that slide. He made it easier to be tagged on the arm. How about a normal slide?
  9. IMHO the roster's position players, talent-wise, are just not that good, and it shows when you have two potential starters (Lewis and Lee) injured. How many of our guys would be starters on a playoff-caliber team? France, Julien, Miranda, Gasper ... even Jeffers, Bader, Castro and Larnach are probably not every-day players on a "good" MLB team.
  10. If that was a double steal Julien broke way too early,
  11. Same here with the audio problem. I'm watching on MLB.TV.
  12. Completely agree. I give Falvey credit for assembling a decent pitching staff, but after seven years of this regime we've got a weak hitting lineup that can't play defense.
  13. Morneau blaming the wet grass for the error.
  14. You're behind by 9 with a 3-2 count and you take a pitch down the middle?
  15. Has to be part of the tanking plan. 🤮
  16. Maybe this is part of an ingenious tanking plan for 2025.
  17. The torpedo bat doesn't work as well for Jeffers as it does for Judge.
  18. I don't like Wallner at leadoff either, but who would you put there? Not sure we have anyone suitable.
  19. If we're worse than St. Louis it's going to be a long season.
  20. Strong 5 innings from Ryan. Very few hard hits.
