    Im still holding my breath and waiting until its sunny and 75+ on a consistent basis at the ball park before I feel comfortable with anyone in the starting rotation other than Ryan.

    LOL - Had to text my Dad and ask him what I just witnessed after that ending. This mornings headline should read "Sano goes Full R-Word, leads Twins to 5th Straight Win". Im glad they won in an especially stupid way but Sano is still a liability where ever he stands on the field. Yikes.

    Correct. Lets say Buxton was still nursing his in jury this weekend. We for sure lose yesterday and maybe on Saturday as well. Buxton is saving Roccos job single handedly.

    While this weekend was fun, and shined a ray of hope. Its still concerning the Buxton is literally the only player on the team performing at or above expectations. I expect the pitching to regress to the mean but I am not sure if I expect the offense to as well. Its fun watching Buxton win games single handedly but its not sustainable, others are going to have to step up if this team wants to be in a WC race come September. Otherwise we might be done by the break, again.

    And where did that get the organization? More play off losses and crapping the bad where it matters most? At what point are MN sports fans going to stop being OK with mediocrity and stop doing things when they are not getting us to the goal? Whats that goal? Championships. Thats it, anything less is not good enough. Just being happy there is baseball is fine for 10 year old me, its not okay with almost 30 year old me, I expect results. If you are happy with how the team has been managed under Rocco, and think they are managing the team properly and that these are the results you want to see, fine, thats on you. I expect more. Also comparing the average persons day to day job to that of a professional athlete on a professional team making millions is not comparable. At all. Pay me $10 Million and I will travel with Kim Jon and Hitlers ghost around North Korea for 200 days a year.

    Agreed! Rocco and his nap squad need to take a hike. I could care less about club house chemistry and players liking the HC. I want W's. Ws make any locker room click regardless if the players like each other or not. I wonder how much chemistry and happiness is in the current locker room with the terrible record? Probably not a lot.

    An average MLB 1st basemen makes that play 9/10. He bobbled a ball too that an average 1st makes makes. We need to be done with him, Kep, etc. We should have traded these players when their value was the highest. This team will be lucky to kiss 80 wins this season.

    Im just not a fan of Rocco in general. I voiced that pretty strongly at the end of 2019. That team wins 100 games regardless of who is managing. I dont like his lack of fire, lax attitude and I really dont like that he encourages other players to have that attitude as well. Im not saying he needs to be gardy out there kickin dirt and yelling every other game but, too many rest days, too many "nap areas". What winning franchise has nap zones and nap times? Like come on, get real. But you're right its too early. I called the team dead by first week of May last season and I was right. Lets see how they finish April.

    SS Different year (You all know what SS means). Why is it this team can never be managed and built properly? Its been over a decade since it has been. Im sorry but 2019 is looking more and more like an aberration and 2020 and 2021 looking more like the norm. I had the team pegged as .500 material before seasons start. Now I have them running just like they did last season. 74ish wins. I want off Roccos wild ride.

    If Tuesday was a 1pm game they could get it in probably but its a night game. Neither will happen I imagine.

    Luckily there will be no baseball on Tuesday or Wednesday with the weather coming in. That whole series gets rescheduled or all the games will be played in LA or do you think there will be just a one day double header in MN later in the year? Either way Twins wont be playing ball until Thursday this week after today.

    Lol, then they are delusional as well in my mind. He has Cy Young type stuff for 2-3 games a year. And then is average to below average the rest of the year. Wake me when he wins a Cy young.

    Berrios is so overrated by the general Twins fans populace its astounding. Berrios was reliable as far as staying healthy and pitching innings but he was never a sure fire thing to have a good game or to give you the chance at winning every game he pitched. He's a number two or three guy on any other contending teams roster so setting him as the bar to compare to is beating a dead horse imo.

    Is it that much better though? What is it...6 more wins? thats still mediocre. .500 should never be the goal of any club in any pro sport. That's how you get stuck in Vikings land kicking the Cousins can down the road. Its misery.

    I too am confused why Cave is still signed by the team, he does literally nothing well.

    Gonna need about 3 or 4 other pitchers for this season to even potentially be special. 2 for the rotation and at two for the bull pen.

    They were going to be regardless. They needed 3 new proven good to great pitchers in both the rotation and bull pen and that wasnt going to happen.

    Are they magically going to obtain an actual Ace, another solid starting pitcher and a bunch of excellent reliable BP arms by midnight tonight? I doubt it.

    I dont have cable or pay for any streaming and I can watch any MLB game I want. Just sayin'.

    Sounds like you would rather have losses than wins as well. Because thats what you will get with being content with signings like these and thinking its good enough.

    You are saying all that based on the assumption that if the Twins have Buxton they still wont lose 90-100 games during the next 5 seasons, they very well could. I see the odds of them losing 90+ games a season over the next 5 years being grater than them winning 90+ games a season. With or w/o Buxton. They still have no clue what they are doing in regards to drafting, scouting, signing, grooming, coaching pitching. And until that changes, it wont matter if Buxton is here. Thats just my 2 cents.
