  1. I like Dobnak. However he is a pitch to contact guy and when he faces a loaded lineup, like the Yankees, his luck will likely run out.
  2. I think it will be Rooker first. I don't think the Twins view him as a long term option for this team. They can see what he's got and so can other MLB teams. He could then be traded and the Twins won't have to use up any service time for Larnach and Kiriloff. We know how the Twins like to hang on to that service time.
  3. Great to have baseball again. Is it just me or do some of the Twins such as Berrios, Polanco, Arraez, look like their bodies are filling out ( in a good way)?
  4. I have always wanted to learn how to play Stratematic Baseball. Maybe this will be the season to learn that game.
  5. Great article. So what should we make of Chacin so far?
  6. Unless somehow there is a problem with the broadcasts on FM, I am glad to have that as an option too. I don't understand the purpose of this article, Must be my advanced age.
  7. I thought T. Blankenhorn was a third baseman and highly regarded prospect.
  8. Hard to think of someone making $7 million or so a year as underpaid. The Twins took a gamble and Max opted for a very secure life changing contract. No one is getting screwed here.
  9. Great article. I suspect that our opponents are aware of this too.
  10. Great article. It makes you wonder about the TK regime. I respect his baseball knowledge but you have to wonder how many hitters, besides David Ortiz, that his approach may have negatively impacted.
  11. Excellent article. I was not aware of Smeltzer's great spin rate. It appears to me that unless he at least tries to make some adjustments in his delivery his career will mimic that ot Tommy Milone's. Not horrible, but....
  12. I know it was only a Spring Training start, but Chacin did not exactly inspire confidence.
  13. Whose is to say that he won't be able to get his ERA below 4?
  14. He may be the main first baseman for only a year or two given that Cruz may not be back next year. He might then be the DH and one of our prospects could be the new first baseman.
  15. As an almost 70 y.o I am amazed that these athletes can even see the balls coming in on them yet alone make a micro second decision about swinging.
  16. Wow, sounds like the Twins are hosting the Donaldson and Cruz Academy of Baseball Developement.
  17. Great article. I wonder what Tomas Tellis's role is, if any, in regards to the big club. Insurance?
  18. And how about that Zander Wiel?? Too good for AAA, but no room on the Twins. What to do, what to do.
  19. Are the Twins the best team in the American League? That's why we play the games.
  20. To start the season, Rochester should have a heck of a pitching staff, or at least relief corp.
  21. Great article. Maybe with Josie's different training regimen this year and with another year working with Wes Johnson, that the decline can be stopped and perhaps reversed. I have felt for some time that Jose's windup is too complex and that he should simplify it. But that is just my observation.
  22. He may have had a tough year hitting at A+ and AA, but he sure broke out in the Arizona Fall League.
  23. If Maeda pitches well as a starter, but if the Twins find near the end of the season that they need him as a reliever, the FO should restructure his incentives so that he is not penalized for helping the team win.
