    Don’t think Kirilloff is a plus defender at first. Or anywhere. He’ll definitely end up at first base eventually in his career.

    Dodgers shut Graterol down. He was behind to start the spring as he took some time off during the Winter with COVID. He pitched 1 inning over three (ineffective) appearances...now shut down with forearm soreness. The term ‘shut down’ has been a phrased used often with Graterol in his professional career.

    Because he’s better than the bullpen no matter how many days they’re rested...and his arm isn’t going to fall off if he throws one hundred pitches. (but yes, not with the 6 run lead)

    I am now. But given the 3-run lead scenario, I wouldn’t have been. Spotted a seven run lead after 3, and not able to get even into the 7th?...given the Twins situation, that’s more failure than success, even if the result is a win. Now, I probably take him out and see if I can get at least one inning from someone not named Duffey, Robles, or Rogers.

    No. The Royals have a league average bullpen. The Twins have the worst in Baseball (bWAR)

    It’s unusual to see the home team score 7 in the 3rd. We usually miss the extra point.

    Apparently, we’re watching two different Dobnak’s. The one I’m watching has progressively done worse each year as the league has seen more of him. The one I’m watching still has a K ratio well below league average and has given up 4 HR now in 14 innings...fly balls that go over the fence, not ground balls. He has atrocious numbers across the board and has amassed a bWAR of -.7 in only 14 innings, a pace that’s worse than Shoemakers -.9 in 23 innings. If that’s the standard, go with Duran right now. I’m sure he hasn’t been golfing the last several weeks. He won’t do materially worse than what Dobnak has been doing...and at least you’re developing a realistic potential top-end arm.

    How does Sano heat up on the bench? Arraez with give multiple players one day off a week, including Sano. He’ll play every day.
