    I know it's great that they keep Austin, but how much is he going to play? Especially with all the off days in the beginning of the season.

    I feel that a Gibson extension might remind us of the Hughes extension. Coming off a career year is not the best time to try to get a good value extension, but running out of time. I would be against it unless its crazy team friendly. If he does great, offer the QO.

    Another thing that I like about him is his playoff experience. MLBTR did an interview with his agent printed December 12th, and in it the agent said that having an opportunity to return to the playoffs was "of utmost importance".     I'd like to see another Pineda-type signing this year, since there will probably be three more rotation spots available in 2020.

    I was listening to the pregame on the radio and the Dazzleman predicted a career high in strikeouts for Berrios.

    Very disappointing basically selling 74th pick for 6 million

    The last few years it seems like this is an extremely streaky team. I wouldn't be that surprised if they crank off another 20 win May. Come June 1st we could be singing praises about this team and if they are a true WS contender. While I don't think they we be quite there yet, I do think the narrative will be different in a month. Or I'll eat my hat. I just need to find a good hat recipe.

    I've seen on other threads that people want to sign him to an extension. If I'm not mistaken the Twins have to offer at least 80% of his current salary to sign him to an extension (Or 18.4 million). Obviously that's a bit too high so he will reach FA and then the balls in his court. I'm ok with a competitive offer under say seven million but ultimately he will know the direction of the team best and either 1) re sign with the Twins. 2 ) retire. 3) play elsewhere
