  1. I think the Angels would seriously consider Lewis, Culpepper, Tate, Hill, and Emma to give up Neto and Detmers. The only way this is an overpay is if you believe Lewis is going to get better, I don't.
  2. I think a package of Rodriguez, Tait, Hill, and a 10-15 prospect will be required to aquire a good starting pitcher with a couple of years of control. I would target Reid Detmers as well.
  3. I agree. I like Detmers more than Gausman or Peralta though mainly because he has 2 arbitration years left making him more affordable.
  4. Given that the poor returns on the Mahle, Berrios, Varland, and Polanco trades didn't net the Twins 1 solid everyday player, (with much of the same group of talent evaluating personnel still in the front office), I have little faith in the prospects they will get if they trade Ryan given their track record. Look no further than our recent 1st round draft busts other than Buxton and the lousy returns on these afore mentioned trades if you have any doubts.
  5. Don't forget Pablo is back next year making Ryan easier to replace next year. Agree that only Ryan and Jeffers will fetch top prospects.
  6. Don't let the "weak AL" argument influence the obvious choice that the Twins should be sellers. As much as I like Buxton, sell high and hold out for somebody's top prospects. Same for Ryan, Jeffers, and Larnach. Keep Clemons though!
  7. Do what the Sox did. Tear it all down and start over with Jenkins and the 3rd pick in the draft. Hit on a handful of prospects you get for Ryan, Jeffers, and Buxton. The above mentioned names aren't going to get you potential all stars.
  8. The 1 run difference in the outcome is on Keashal failing to score on Buxton's single off the wall. The runner on 3rd is going to score no matter what if he catches it. If Keashal goes 3/4 of the way to 3rd and their right fielder makes the catch, you got plenty of time to get back to 2nd. If he doesn't, you score easily. Fundamental baseball 101.
  9. My biggest fear is that like the Angels not trading Ohtani, the Twins will think they can sneak into the playoffs and not trade Ryan and Jeffers. Big mistake for the future if they don't trade them 2. Bigger mistake if they can't identify future decent prospects like the Jay's and Brewers do when trading away good players. I would take a good offer for Buxton as well because age 32 seems to be the start of declining skills in MLB if he'll waive his no trade clause. .
  10. I enjoy watching the new look Twins, but Gasper not being able to execute a bunt that could have cost us the game is painful. Please DFA him now!
  11. Ask the Dodgers what it would take for Dalton Rushing. Start with Duran and E-rod, and add another top 5 prospect not named Jenkins or Keashall and they may just listen.
