  1. Then it’s not pudding. It’s just an alcoholic shake. Try to keep up.
  2. SCOTUS is loathe to backtrack on itself so there’s not much to worry about... yet. It still has to get past the circuit court, which is also loathe to backtrack on SCOTUS rulings.
  3. Pudding won’t even set at that alcohol content, rookie.
  4. So when do we start to believe Perez is the real deal? And that 2020 option, huzzah.
  5. The latter is 2010. The former is also probably 2010.
  6. Can someone explain to me the goal of impeachment proceedings that actually wins votes in 2020? I’m done with pyrrhic victories. I’ll take a good old fashioned straight up victory this time around, thanks.
  7. Noted. We’re going to have to refine this process quite a bit but know that so far, our revenue appears to be rising enough to start talking about how to increase writer pay for the site. It’s not a perfect process, I know, but it’s what makes Twins Daily work and draws writers into the fold. Without an increase in ad revenue, Tom wouldn’t have committed to his game recaps and writer management tasks. Regular writers wouldn’t keep doing MiLB recaps. Etc etc. Everything has a price. We’ll keep trying to improve the experience but this is needed to keep Twins Daily moving forward. Again, to emphasize, we owners take virtually nothing from the ad revenue pot. It’s there for writers, not ownership.
  8. Fan perception /=/ reality
  9. I also think that's the case but possibly not this deadline. Gordon, while good for a short time, has been fighting injuries. I doubt Falvine let him go unless a team is ready to offer good value in July, which I think is unlikely. I suspect an offseason deal is more likely to happen.
  10. FYI, work is being done on the flickering issue (which I finally saw for myself). These changes have to be made from the ad provider side of things so hang in there for a few days, it could take time for the changes to go through their internal processes and get to their dev team. I will be tackling these other issues in the coming week; right now, I have some other pressing ad issues to deal with that have to be taken care of first.
  11. Uh, man, Gordon is injured.
  12. Well, I certainly didn't see this one coming.
  13. It was easy to criticize at the time, which I did. Three catchers who profile as adequate MLB players is not a "surplus", especially when you consider the depth behind those three, which is non-existent. And, as we've seen *twice* already in just the first 40 games of the season, catchers can and will go down at any moment for almost any reason. Again, calls to drop a third catcher (in this case, Castro) were and are short-sighted. It's time to play to win and Castro walks after the season while both Garver and Astudillo are under control for several years beyond 2019. There is absolutely zero urgency to do anything about the catching situation and the Twins have a rare luxury right now: the ability to carry three catchers without meaningfully impacting the roster depth.
  14. It shouldn't be overlooked how important Pineda's performance was last night. The Twins haven't had a day off in a week and won't get a day off for another week. Their pen was shaken up quite a bit by that Angels series and they're in the first game of a seven game road stretch. Going seven innings is a really big deal in that situation.
  15. What iPad are you using? I haven’t seen any issues on my iPad Air 2 and certainly not any issues on my iPhone XS.
  16. Yep. If anything, give me permanent DST. I want the hour in the evening.
  17. I know, Hildenberger has always had that weird split. I can’t think of another sidearmer with that same split, though one could certainly exist.
  18. There have been many effective sidearmers but it’s hard to have success, particularly against opposite side hitters. They get a good, long look at the ball as it swings around the side of the body.
  19. Nope, no excuses at all for the past 7-10 days. He has been awful and needed to be demoted. But to start the season 5-of-19 inherited runners scoring isn’t something to be ashamed of, particularly given how Baldelli kept throwing him out there in bases loaded situations.
  20. Yep. Vlad Guerrero. I was watching the game when it happened. Damned near fell over laughing.
  21. For all of you complaining about Hildenberger’s inherited runners scoring, I hope you realize a 75% strand rate is actually just fine. It’s almost exactly average.
  22. Which tells you something about luck. According to some, the Angels willingly hit the ball wherever they pleased, yet the moment it became a scoring situation, that purposeful hitting vaporized into thin air. Why the discrepancy?
  23. This game was nerve-wracking. I don’t particularly care for nerve-wracking games in mid-May.
