Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Going to take some getting used to seeing the Twins wearing red jerseys.
Chance Provisional Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Are the red jerseys going to carry over into the regular season, or is this just a ST thing?
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Think the red "Minnesota" script jerseys are this year's road batting practice jerseys. They wear them as their road uniform in ST.
Jerr Verified Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I don't really like the red ones, but sure like seeing green grass and no snow:)

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Going to take some getting used to seeing the Twins wearing red jerseys. Yeah ... I was like 'Wait ... do I have the right game?' 'Oh yeah ...'I like them, though.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 3 Ks for the Twins 2nd. That was less than impressive.
Fatt Crapps Provisional Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Nice looking curve by Hughsie to get the ground out (double play)
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Yeah, I've liked several of the Hughes curveballs. Better find some command of the fastball, though.
Jerr Verified Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Twins are looking good this Spring! And I am trying to control my excitement, as everyone says they will not be in contention......but:o?
twinsfanstl Verified Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 K rate feels alot like last year
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Kepler lead off single and driven home by a home run from Buxton. Back to the Future, Twins fans.
Fatt Crapps Provisional Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Sano's a 5 tool player? Wow that sure is nice to hear!!
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I'd like to say I saw that Kepler/Buxton combination a lot in Cedar Rapids last year... but they were on the Kernels roster together for a grand total of 4 games.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Maybe years from now, there will be tons of Twins/Kernels fans who will tell people they watched Buxton and Kepler play together at Vets stadium in CR. They will all be lying. The 4 games they were both with the Kernels were played in Appleton against the Timber Rattlers. I made a good, last minute, decision that weekend to drive up and watch most of that series, as Buxton was told of his promotion on the bus ride back to CR.
Jerr Verified Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Watching these Spring training games brings back some Piranha memories:D.Twins R playing that small ball!!!!
Jerr Verified Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Well, Twins shoulda scored that inning!!!!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I don't think real competition for roster spots or starting jobs starts until next week, but if there are some judgments being made, Kubel and Mastro are not helping their causes.

I talked to a bunch of other people who were too.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 No I was at that game. I talked to a bunch of other people who were too. The "they'll all be lying" part is about seeing Kepler and Buxton play together at Vets Stadium in CR. That never happened. They never were together for a home game. I was actually surprised by how many Twins fans were at that series in Appleton. It was fun to see. It was also the first time Terry Ryan saw Buxton play in person last season. Don't think it was a coincidence that he was promoted immediately after Ryan saw for himself how Buxton was performing.
