LimestoneBaggy Verified Member Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 1. Is it time to call up Scott Diamond and give him a shot? 2. Sweet Drew: Never will his trade value be greater than now....Never.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 1. No. Look at his peripherals. There are the same as every of his other mediocre season. He just got lucky in the SSS (18 IP, just 6 IP/game btw) and stranded 92% of the runners who reached base... Usually he strands 60some% so when that 30% scores the ERA will be closer to normal 2. Yes Yes Yes! Yesterday
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 I'd give Liriano 1-2 more starts, and if Diamond keeps it up, he should absolutely be promoted. Last year, he was a bit unlucky with some horrible defense behind him in Rochester and with the Twins. The defense has helped him this year, and I think the Twins infield defense is improved too.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 I'd probably give him a shot but he certainly won't be a savior. But he can't be worse than Liriano at this point.

Gernzy Verified Member Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 I'd rather see Swarzak stay in the rotation for now.
spideyo Provisional Member Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 While Swarzak has been alright in the rotation, I think they could really use his help in the bullpen.
Dilligaf69 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 What will 1 more start for Liriano do for him??? His confidence seems to be at an all time low. Send him down and give Diamond another go at it. Let Frankie get as many starts as he needs in Rochester and you still have Swarzak to pug back in if Diamond struggles.
