Dougmancaveitch Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Glad to see Willingham batting in the 4 spot tonight. You gotta go with what's working right now, and right now Willingham is batting .419
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Can our so-called power lefties (M, M, Doumit) put something together, together tonight? It's about time. Go Twins!
woolhouse Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Mauer better pull everything tonight, and keep it off the left-field line: Phil Cuzzi is the third-base umpire tonight.
Neinstein Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Phil Cuzzi is the third-base umpire tonight. They've already lost the game. haha
Neinstein Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Willingham @ 3rd, Morneau @ 1st, 2 outs... Doumit has an opportunity to show something. correction: did show something.
THE DFC Verified Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 How does Valencia even take at-bats that are that awful? It's not like Garcia's up there throwing like Justin Verlander...
woolhouse Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Four two-out hits by the Twins: double by Mauer, RBI single for Willingham, single for Morneau, and RBI single for Doumit. Nice hitting by the guys who are supposed to supply it.
cr9617 Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Should have been like 4-0 after the first. Attempting to steal in that situation, against the Yanks, with Carrol running, Mauer coming up, followed by 4 and 5 hitters.....I don't get it. You need a lot more than 1 run vs this team.
woolhouse Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 And Pavano literally could not have coughed that lead up any faster.
Neinstein Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Okay Pavano, move quickly through these next two innings.
davidjcampbell Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Mauer better pull everything tonight, and keep it off the left-field line: Phil Cuzzi is the third-base umpire tonight.Cuzzi is on second according to FSN and MLB box score. Twins have a chance tonight...
davidjcampbell Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Bert is reading the media guide again...
Highabove Provisional Member Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I have never heard a deader homerun call then that last one by Dick B.
Neinstein Provisional Member Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Okay Pavano, move quickly through these next two innings.p.s. would it be too much to ask for a quick 6th and 7th also??
Neinstein Provisional Member Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 How does Valencia even take at-bats that are that awful? It's not like Garcia's up there throwing like Justin Verlander...Dear Danny Valencia,I know it is pretty early in the season, I know... but still... either way, you don't want to fall below the Mendoza line.
Highabove Provisional Member Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 How can Gardenhire even consider bringing in Jeff Gray!!
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Are you kidding me Granderson?....seriously?!!! Great hit, greater catch, wow!
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Well that was a huge blow to my hopes for a Twins W this evening.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Lookin better now... Anyone else watching ESPN. The broadcast team is actually decent tonight. Whadda think?lol... If you are not watching on ESPN... Don't switch over... Stay with the channel you are watching... The channel you are watching is working. Do not tempt the wrath of the whatever from high a top the thing.
striker_86 Provisional Member Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Cmon bullpen. 6 outs! Lets go!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I like Clete Thomas!I do to. I think he is motivated to play well. He will be dialed in. Besides his play yesterday forced another start tonight which forced Gardy to play both Catchers and one at DH. That's a huge moment in our Twins development.
