  1. You're so concerned about age. I'll post again next year, and we'll look at the outcome again.
  2. I'm still confused as to why the Twins chose not to draft Trevor Plouffe as a Pitcher.
  3. 1 year later and this still appears a quite a huge haul.
  4. Ben Revere's consecutive game hitting streak comes to an end at 21.
  5. Game vs Kansas City Joe Mauer 8 games Ryan Doumit 10 games
  6. powrwrap, your prediction for first career no-hitter was spot on! I'm happy for Cain. i also know who will win the election this November
  7. 6.2.12 New Britain vs Harrisburg Single, Single, Double... 3 runs later, that's all it took to start things in the first inning for Darnell to turn it around. I've seen pitchers do it time and time again. The important thing here is that he settled down and got out of it. He picked off another runner in the 2nd. 87-56 pitch count = 64% Strikes. His control seemed to be there, just not in the first. I suppose I would also have a few butterflies in my stomach going head to head with Washington's hot prospect Daniel Rosenbaum. We'll look forward to seeing what you can do against the Akron Aeros lineup! 8. torn. both will be good.
  9. Johan Santana
  10. Game 50 vs Oakland A's Ben Revere ~ 5 games
  11. 5.27.12 New Britain @ Portland Sea Dogs Logan continues to show signs of consistency perhaps finally getting out of his bumpy road through much of April and May. He hit his pitch limit, 104-63 (61% strikes) and was pulled from Sundays game in the 6th inning. Another good performance all around. It was a case of the mistake pitch that sent a ball from slugger Reynaldo Rodriguez over the fence with one on and nobody out in the bottom of the 4th. He then had a strikeout, lineout, and strikeout to end that inning. Lanigan blew the game allowing 5 runs in the 7th preventing Logan from achieving his 6th win. I really hope Mr. Darnell has found his groove and stays on track for the month of June! 13. Nice start for DeVries. I was wondering if we'd see a fly out!
  14. 5.22.12 New Britain vs. Binghamton Mets Arguably his best start of the Season, Logan Darnell tossed 90 pitches (90-61, 68% for strikes) of shutout ball. Scattering 7 hits over 7 innings, striking out 4 batsmen and walking none. The Binghamton Mets are no slouches as they have 3 batsmen listed in the top 12 for average. Kai Gronauer stole 2nd base, but in the 4th inning while Kai was batting, Darnell picked off Sean Kazmar to end the inning. Job well done Mr. Darnell, keep up the good work! 15. and Butera should be coming back out in the ninth.

  18. 5.16.12 New Britain Rock Cats vs. New Hampshire Fisher Cats About on par with his better outings of late, it was the 4th inning that gave Darnell some trouble, giving up a couple solo homeruns. @ 81-57 (that's 70.4% strikes) Logan has successfully continued on his path of a roller coaster season. That huge plunge downhill feels great at the right park, now let's see if his next start can become the slow gradual climb up a great hill... and hope that it never comes back down. 20. Scouts don't know what to make of Rosenbaum. He was drafted 22nd round, 2009 out of Xavier University Cincinnati Ohio. No one has ever come out of that school to provide anything remotely close to MLB level talent. His numbers are better than Hendrik's were in EL. At least bookmark his profile, revisit it later in the year. I'll bet you he climbs their list very quickly if he keeps pitching the way he has. In an organization with that weak of a minor league system, he'll be in their top 6 next year. Remember when Blackburn basically wasn't on anyone's radar, then in 2008 he was their #1 prospect? Weird huh. Don't put all your scouts in one basket.
  21. Take another peak at Rosenbaum's profile. Tell me you wouldn't be happy with a guy like that pitching in New Britain or Rochester. Kobernus and Rosenbaum are 24 years old. 24 is not old, not even close. Detwiler is a Lefty that has displayed some success already. Tyler Clippard is the obvious prize in the deal with a couple other players knocking on the door, and if Ross Detwiler is figuring out his delivery problems, he could be better than any of the Twins' other starting pitchers.
  22. I agree. This Team has to start taking some chances to get runners in. I also believe that being a little more aggressive could help some of these guys a little. Put a spark back in there.
  23. This is such bad news. I feel for Wimmers. He wants to pitch. I want him to pitch. This could be devastating to his career if the rehab doesn't work.
  24. #11 today. He knocked out a 3 run shot to Right Field in the 3rd inning off Ambioris Hidalgo just after Wang-Wei Lin and JaDamion Williams both singled. He now has 35 RBI's.
  25. Nice to see Waldrop back at it in Fort Myers today. 1 inning, 1 hit, 1 K. Welcome back kid.
