1. Hows about Denard Span for Ross Detwiler, Tyler Clippard, Jeff Kobernus and Daniel Rosenbaum. http://cache.blippitt.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Evil-Laugh.png
2. gave up a hit and struck out 3 in 2 innings of Work. Still sporting that 0.00 ERA... looking good Mr. Thielbar.
3. Today looks like a good day for Darin to get that 1st Major League SB.
4. 5.10.12 New Britain Rock Cats vs Reading Phillies Another disappointing start for our up&down prospect. 4 runs came in on a Grand Slam by Darin Ruf, a Phillies top prospect, but no matter which way you look at it the bases were juiced and that's what a pitcher has to avoid. 3 more walks added to his belt spells trouble with command yet again. @ 80-50, (that's 62.5% strikes) Darnell's showing difficulty lumping his balls thrown at the same batters. Maybe it just wasn't Logan's day on the mound, but coming after 2 of his better starts, he'll be looking to rebound against New Hampshire. The Fisher Cats have a couple guys who are making their living getting hits this Season. Good luck to you Mr. Darnell! 5. Hopefully Guerra continues to expode as a Reliever. He's pitching the way he used to a few years ago. Keep it up kid.
6. Very Niiiiice!
7. I know I'm not the first to say this, but they really outta get these kids Tommy John surgery for their 21st birthday. A very large surprise cake, a keg, and an appointment to Lewis Yocum's Tommy John surgery room.
8. 5.04.12 New Britain vs. Portland Sea Dogs It was the 4th inning that troubled Darnell. A lead-off walk followed by a base hit and an Oscar Tejada home run. That's 3 runs on the board for Portland. They followed that up with a Double to right by Bryce Brentz. Through 6 innings, Logan gave up only 5 Hits, 1 Walk, 3 Earned Runs while striking out 3 batsmen. Using 95 pitches, his control seems to be getting back to where it was at the beginning of the season. Darnell's WHIP was 1.11 in his last two starts compared to 2.56 in the previous two starts. 10. Game 22 @ Los Angeles Angels Denard Span ~ 10 games Joe Mauer ~ 5 games (DNP)
11. 4.29.12 New Britain @ Richmond Flying Squirrels Not the prettiest of outings, but it's about all you could ask for. Logan balked in the 3rd and threw a wild pitch in the 6th, but held the Squirrels to 2 runs from 7 hits and 1 walk while striking out 8 through 6 and 2/3 innings. 13. Game 20 vs Kansas City Royals Denard Span ~ 9 games

15. Righties Oliveros and Jacobson have performed nicely after Darnell was taken out.
16. 4.24.12 New Britain vs Portland Logan got knocked around pretty good in his start today. Only lasting 3 innings, he gave up 6 Runs off 8 hits and 4 walks. Portland, offering an almost entirely Right-Handed Lineup, Homered twice to take an early 6-1 lead. Logan's last two outings have him struggling a bit with control. Facing Mostly Right-Handed bats in back-to-back games is one thing, but allowing 7 hitters to simply walk to first base in his last 9 innings is something he'll have to get under control. Updated Stats:
IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA 19 21 11 11 10 10 2 5.21 +2.40
17. Too Bad for LHP Darnell, Portland's Lineup is full of Righties.

20. should try 2 Catchers when Liriano's pitching.
21. Okay, okay... maybe 9-6 ?
