I remember when the Twins had elite OF defense back in the early Rosario, Buck, Kepler days. This blue print is to get the team a competitive advantage via run prevention across as many positions as possible. While the offense is a risk there is upside and the savings allow for more investment into the pitching. Ultimately the young guys will have to perform because the last iteration didn't and free agency is rough this year for offense.

Trades:

1) Receive: Trade to get Agustin Ramirez from the Marlins--bat first questionable glove but a RHH+ Estury Ruiz --back up OF who can play center, also RHH

Send: Royce Lewis + lottery ticket (marlins want a third baseman and there isn't enough value coming back to trade Lee, maybe Mathews/Canterino/Rojas)

Non Tender (potentially worth a package to AZ for some prospects, but they don't have any MLB RP I'd want)

1) Larnach

2) Ober

FA

1) Sign Bryan Abreu, could swap in Alex Vesia if LHP is a must have

2) Kaima Taira (Lopez, Ryan, Kremer are all scheduled to be FA after the year, this allows for a long term option to pair with Taj)

*1) leveraged the numbers from MLB Trade Rumors

*2) not subscribed to MLB Trade values so not sure on the trade filler value

Keaschall makes league minimum. They already released Banda.

Clemens makes 3.60. My guess is they just moved Keaschall's name into that position. Easy to do with a spreadsheet.

Thank you, yes I put him in Kody's spot and seems I missed changing the cash amount. I missed the Banda release. I thought the Correa money auto got added like it did on the tool so that's where the cash gap is.

Main goal on this is 1) good defense makes baseball enjoyable to watch so helps with the fans 2) lets see how the young guys are, if they do well we can cash in prospects, if not July will have the team selling their remaining assets and doing a full rebuild because Detroit, Cleveland, and Chicago I think on paper are better than the Twins short term and long term unless we have health.
