Absolutely. In general, the market pays a premium in years and AAV for 3+ WAR players because those players are harder to find and are the guys who actively help teams make the playoffs.

It's not as much of a premium as it should be, though. That's one of the weaknesses of the Twins FO. They do seem to value players on a linear scale.
