Brian Dozier and Joe Mauer Join Banana Ball at Target Field

On Friday night, the Savannah Bananas came to Target Field with their fun-filled brand of Banana Ball. 

As they always do, they incorporated some friends into their game. 

Joe Mauer came to welcome the Bananas to town and throw out the ceremonial first pitch.   

In the seventh inning, Brian Dozier was introduced to the crowd over about 39,000. He acknowledged them, and they gave him a long and loud ovation. Dozier ultimately struck out on a fifth-pitch fastball, but he smiled and waved to the crowd. 

The Bananas will play at 8:00 pm on Saturday night and 3:00 pm on Sunday at Target Field.  If you go to any of the games and want to share pictures and stories here.

Baseball is a game that's supposed to be fun!  Too bad some coaches, parents, and players from t-ball and up forget that.

I saw that Trevor May was there too! Although how awesome it is to see these guys featured at the bananaball game I wish we could see these guys featured/honored more often at actual Twins games.

Morneau made a cameo at first base on Sunday.  He even recorded a putout!

It was fun show with a lot of energy.  Music was definitely curated by someone that grew up in the 90s

.... similar to the Harlem Globetrotters .... people like entertainment and being at a place where everyone is laughing and hanging out together.
