Think about baseball being back... You never know what you got until its gone. It's been 4 days of not knowing what to do with myself and the ideas I actually came up with for doing with myself. Were not good! 2. Think about the rotation... We just had 4 days off from baseball... So everyone is basically ready to start. Gardenhire can reset his rotation and the order he chose was Pelfrey, Correia, Diamond, Gibson and Deduno. Is he trying to matchup against the Indians or just keeping the same rotation and he forgot that Deduno was supposed to go before Gibson. 3. Think about the New Call Ups... Chris Herrmann, Doug Bernier and Chris Colabello are up with the club replacing Arcia, Parmelee and Escobar. These are big moments for the 3 new players. 4. Think about Justin Morneau... After Perkins... He appears to be the most talked about trade candidate. 5. Think about flotation devices on airplanes... Your seat becoming a floatation device is nice but it would be a better idea for... you know... boats... With airplanes I wonder if your seat becoming a parachute would be a better idea.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Okay sitting on a plane as I type I'd rather not think about no. 5. But you all are welcome to think of me as i chime in by the pool sipping a fruity drink or winning big at the black jack tables or just plain getting into fun trouble. I'm on vacay, my brothers!

Have A Great Time Chitown!!! You deserve it. At the Craps Table... Keep to the pass line... It's your best odds. Also... If you run into anyone interesting... You should probably stay away from the chapel until sobriety comes back around. Also... It's very warm in Vegas in July... Dress Scantily... Just like Chief does... He wears a tube top everyday in July.

I'm on vacay, my brothers!Have fun in Vegas. You could always bet on the Twins while you're there (to win or lose). I heard they allow gambling in Vegas. Also, Craps is a ton of fun. If you hear something that sounds like a party inside a casino, there's pretty good odds that it's coming from a craps table. And RB, I agree with you about no. 1. I haven't known what to do with myself with 4 days of no Twins games.

I was "Shocked, Shocked, to find that gambling is going on in here".

Were not good! You need children. The last time I didn't know what to do with myself was shortly before my wife said, "We're ready for kids". I wasn't aware of the unilateral nature of that decision, but now I have two and one on the way in August. Life is busy.

They also took the all star break off seemingly. So... I had no excuses left to offer when my wife suggested mowing the lawn or helping in the garden. I need my Twins... Good or Bad... It matters not.

Fortunately I was in the wilds of Northern Ontario througout the Yankee sweep and Rays debacle without any data services, back close enough to civilization for the last two Yankee wins and the All-Star break to get some reception but intermittent enough to not bother most of the time. So while I'm raring to see some baseball, I've been distracted enough not to lose my mind.

I looked up some facts: Northern Ontario is approximately 10 Billion Square Miles. For the Canadian... That's 584 Billion Kilometers. Northern Ontario has a population of 7... To compare and contrast... The Planet Mars is 142 Million Square miles and has a population of 8. Of the Population of 8 on Planet Mars... 6 of them are regular posters on Twins Daily.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 Here's another Northern Ontario Tidbit: If you are standing in the exact center of Northern Ontario. Stay Healthy!!! The Nearest Hospital is in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

There's 7 people in Northern Ontario? Funny I didn't run into them, I think that makes the Walleye to person ratio around 400,000/1....and it's 585 Billion km's, using a Canadian calculator.
snepp Verified Member Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I think that makes the Walleye to person ratio around 400,000/1.... And I still wouldn't be able to catch any of them.

I rounded down and also keep in mind that the Canadian Calculator was actually made in Taiwan and they don't recognize the Number 9.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 And I still wouldn't be able to catch any of them. Too Funny!!! You to!!! I can't catch fish either... I could be sitting in a boat with the world's greatest Walleye fisherman (I believe that is Kent Hrbek)... Herbie could be pulling in walleye every 10 seconds. He could do everything the same and hand me the line... and I would get nothing for 3 hours. He of course would then take the line back and resume catching walleye every ten seconds.

I was up around Red Lake and went out a couple if times with some Cree guides, I swear these guys could catch whatever they wanted with a tree branch and a piece of sewing thread. Good cooks too!

Oops, that may have been an oldie. How about this, then: one of the wisest things any parent ever told me was that when you go from 2 kids to 3, you switch from a man-to-man defense to a zone.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I enjoy fishing. I define fishing as drinking beer in a rowboat on a sunny day, about 20 yards from shore. There, I think I'm caught up - game thread started early and I didn't.
James Verified Member Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 We must be really anxious for Twins baseball if we're already up to 23 posts before the lineups are announced.

Worms make effort to avoid water... How do Fish know that they like eating them? And... If Cats avoid water... And they do... How do Cats know that they like eating Fish? The questions we run across in life are vast and difficult.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 We must be really anxious for Twins baseball if we're already up to 23 posts before the lineups are announced. LOL... We are simply sitting in the left field stands... Waiting for the game to start.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 ChiTown, we need up to the minute updates from Vegas until game time!
snepp Verified Member Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 We must be really anxious for Twins baseball if we're already up to 23 posts before the lineups are announced. A subtle distinction. We're anxious for Twins baseball, not necessarily "Twins baseball."
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 I think underwater must be an interesting place to view. All the Different plant species... Different kinds of fish... Big and Small. A collection of different items that are accidentally and purposely dropped from boats... Jimmy Hoffa and Homeowners hit hard by the housing bubble collapse.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 And... If Cats avoid water... And they do... How do Cats know that they like eating Fish? For that matter, how does Science explain catfish?
